All,

Can you give me reason to upgrade from 1.1.2? all functionality which available on 1.1.4 is also available on 1.1.2 (by using 3rd party apps), even some 3rd party apps is not stable on 1.1.3 / 1.1.4, below is the comparison:

1. Locate me on google maps ----> alternative using Locate me or Navizon
2. Icon arrangement ---> use customize, even this apps can customize docs, batery bar, signal bar etc (this apps not stable for 1.1.3 above)
3. Multi SMS --> use SMSD or iSMS

What still missing on 1.1.2 is only the drop pin on google maps and shortcut to favorite website.

Reason I did not upgrade yet:

1. Many functionality can still be covered by 3rd party apps
2. So many 3rd party apps are not yet compatible with 1.1.3/1.1.4 (e.g customize, dock etc)
3. Locate me feutures on google maps did not work outside UK and US

So, any advice from you guys on this?

mmm...depends on the user. if u feel comfortable with 1.1.2 then better stick with it until the release of firmware 2.0. for 2.0 it's harder to resist as it adds some significant features (such as AppStore).

btw location function on Google Maps works at certain place.

If u feel comfortable with 1.1.2 then why upgrade right? It up to the user's preferences. Only u can answer whether to upgrade or not.

Yea, I also wanna try to install 2.0,
They said it will not expired after if using pwntool,
But can't install apps that make a draw back.

Actually, the 5A147p and 5A225c betas were bound to expire on April 8th since their release, much before PWNAGE was released. The 5A240d beta will expire on May 15th (I just "looked" into the new lockdownd).

And not very stable for daily use. Use it when they officially release it.
