malaysian police doesn't bother to investigate such a small case, they will let you report but will not do any thing after that.You probably want to take another approach.
Since you are a tourist, maybe you want to go down the path of complaining to the tourism department or something and express your frustration about security in m'sia toward foreigner. That might have better impact on trying to contact malaysian police.
