An example I saw was this

At the front page, as you can see, there's a blogger digest.

http://www.miricommunity.net/index.php

I was wondering if it's possible to do that specifically in the blogger's subforum.

Could be considered, although our direction isn't going towards community blog aggregation, and we don't have any place to show feeds right now.

I feel that it's more interesting and informative to pull feeds on blogging/webmastering topics only though, rather than pull everything from everyone indiscriminately.

Well, in a way, it's to promote the blog to the public, and also, it's not necessary to be all, only those who wants to be promoted can be listed.

Because it's better and easier than posting "I gots new blog update! Check me out" in topics.

Also, get to encourage people to blog more.

I think the existing blog aggregators fulfill that role already smile.gif

(final attack! gooo!)

This kind of topic won't be necessary, reduces the amount of spam in the subforum, makes it easier for bloggers to gain exposure, using RSS feed and with lyn embedding it in the bloggers subforum, chaching.

Well, if it's not considered still, it's okay though, just a thought. *sob sob*
I tried *sob*

I would agree on this.

sheep319, actually they can create their own thread if they wants to promote their blogs, as members can interact, giving suggestion, and exchange via it. I see it as a good way to exchange and interact between members as critics makes them a better blogger/webmaster to try to get the feedbacks from their site visitor. It will be also be organized one(if they have initiative to post their blog title, blog topic, and part of their content) or whatever creative ways that they can think to attract visitors.

That thread is for those who don't have their own thread. They could open their own thread if they wants too. That thread is actually better than some of them who went and post their link in all other peoples thread blatantly.
