The thing is, this is a worldwide move done by WotC and not limited to Malaysia so it'll really depend on the results of this 'experiment'.

In Ipoh, we had 8 players exactly to start the event. Easiest ever chance to earn a spot to Nationals! I'll leave it to the good people at mtg-malaysia to do their report.

It's all about improving your chances of making it. Of course if you win in KL it will be a greater achievement since there is a wider field and you can feel more pride. But at the end of the day, the one who got the invite will be happier than the person who bounced out of top 4 after a long day and got nothing to show for it except 6 boosters. Oh, and some pride of course. So it really depends on what you want at the end of the day, no?

From munyip's post, you can see that copy effects copy printed values and any copy effects applied to the object being copied, but not other effects. So no, you won't get a bunch of 1/1 snakes...

Everything other than land is considered a spell when you play it. So creature, sorcery and instants also count as spells.

Shroud = cannot be targeted by spells or abilities
