I don't remember how many rumors I have heard since 2006, now the latest rumor came out with an interesting view said the Diablo III will be announced at the next Blizzard World Wide Invitational, June 28th. TBH Diablo III is the only game Im really looking forward to.

YAY Diablo 3 Its hell about time.. We havent had a single Diable more than 5 years

I thought Diablo (the demon) actually died in Diablo 2.

Therefore, technically the game should be called something else I guess....

the game is still Diablo because of the sequel,

well i sucked in diablo's story line, what was in my mind is only hack/slash monsters

Diablo did have a decent storyline but the game didn't explore its potential. All it had was mindless hack/slash and spell casting fireworks. Ok, we all loved the massacres so no complaints there hehe.

Should Blizzard give us a real RPG in Diablo? Where we could talk to NPCs, choose dialogues which have different effects, and solve quests in various ways (including combat and non-combat)?

For a start I'd like to see the new Diablo to continue the 45 degree isometric view instead of the 3rd person view of recent ARPG games.

i think they make made it like that...

It's been hell a long time we don't have a good hack'n slash rpg already apart from Titan Quest and it's expansion. Really looking forward for Sacred 2 now

diablo:ghost, where we play as an angelic stealthy assassin/spy/sneaky guy/girl/person sent to retrieve diablo's soulstone from HELL. imagine sam fisher/solid snake-esque character, sneaking pass demons, hiding in shadows in the pits of helllll. and discovering a conspiracy between the angels and demons to take over the worrrlld..

it sounds not so diablo...

i miss slashing diablo 4-5 years back. can anyone bring it back from hell?

I don't know, but in terms of hack'n'slash, i still like Japanese style more. DMC, Sango Musou, Onimusha etc, you know it. Perhaps it's because i think 2D action game is not lively enough, lol. If there will be Diablo III, i hope it will be 3D action style like Fable or The Elder Scrolls series. 3D is the trend and it is unavoidable.

But don't be too happy about the announcements that Blizzard made. With StarCraft II still under development, i don't think Diablo III will be released within 2 years after SC 2 is released. Plus, you know that when Blizzard says 'Diablo 3 will be released in 2010', you better expect it's 2011.

good games need wait . and it worth to wait

blizzard should start a new franchise, instead of making sequels to the old ones.

the art work looked fake.. i saw it before like 1 yrs ago.....

its not about 3D or not ... its about its game view whether its first person or isometric. diablo with 1st person view ?? take HellGate, supposedly created by the people behind Diablo. lets just hope its not the case with FO3
