Hey guys!

[ESP].Death here, current team leader to ESP at the moment.
It's great to see the community growing and teams coming up!
Hopefully we can get strong enough to bring this to WCG!

Unfortunately, it would seem that the gameplay for international games are totally different from ours, hopefully they will come up with something more standard for us to train with.

As for now, i hope you guys have fun during and after the tourney, there will be many more to come, BlitZone will be holding one soon. Probably in May or June, after the Tbun one.
(Since it pretty much upgraded).

Take care,
and please don't gun for me... im a noob.
gun ashley.

Wahey! It's Death! =D well, looks like it's another tourney to look forward too. =)

Oh, there will also be another one in JUNE, most likely in sunway pyramid. Being hosted by my friend.
It's quite a big thing too, since they hold tourneys for FTZ(Dota and FIFA) as well.

Keep on gunning.

QUOTE(Lewi4 @ May 1 2008, 11:48 AM)
lol why dam me RMaliff??

I like the sound of those other tournaments ESP Death. Although, will minors and foreigners be allowed in? I should hope so, cause im both lol.
*
Hey Lewi, sorry i couldn't reply sooner, im no forumer. tongue.gif'
I will talk to the organizers about having foreigners in teams. I can guarantee that there will be at least 1 member that will be allowed to be a foreigner, all because [ESP].eGo which is our third team is lead by a Burmese national.. haha. Minors are always allowed to tournaments, but do remember that the Parental consent form is an INTERNATIONAL requirement for shooters.

Anyway, the blitzone competition will be lead by [ESP] and the Bliztone Managers. Since Blitzone is our home ground, we will ensure complete fairness. One of it will be a loser's circuit, details will be confirmed. I don't want to take the limelight away from this tourney however, since it is still a big thing for the community. I will post up the details when i get the green light to.

To ensure that teams get a better chance at reaping the rewards of the blitzone tourney, I will personally hold a general meeting for "ALL TEAM LEADERS", participating in the TBun tourney and for future teams who register for the Blitzone tourney as well. The meeting is to create rules and regulations that will standardize the COD4 community in Malaysia. This will also be used to carve its way to the Tourney in pyramid as I will try to get a standardized tourney ruling for Malaysia. Another general meeting for Clan Leaders are to be held prior to that tourney as well.

Also remember that all these tourneys are subject to the number participants that do come. Therefore, in order for all these to work out and to bring COD4 to WCG, everyone in the community must play his/her role. If there can be at least 32 teams for the pyramid tourney, it wont be long before i can almost guarantee a 5 digit prize money for future COD4 tournaments.

Yes, we [ESP]ians wants to win, but we want to win fairly and if possible, with the odds stacked against us brows.gif

Playing my part.
Death, Out.

I'm sure when the first ever tournament was held for any games, there will surely have its bumps and hitches.
*
Did you see the first MOL CS tourney? My god... that was the only time in the world people were allowed to "ghost" opponent teams.
And the best part was the Dead Talk.. they were practically shouting! tongue.gif

Anyway, when playing with a team that does stuff like that, play smarter. Ghosting is one thing, but telling their teammates where they died is another. You can always move away.

Try not to blame the marshalls too much, you as players should understand not to do it in the first place. Yes they are at fault for not enforcing it, but players are at fault for abusing it. (assuming you abused it that is)

Anyway, Grats to the winners <eMo> and PEW PEW SWL lolz, we have tons of improvements that we need to make and hopefully this would be our launch pad to future tourneys and possibly representing Malaysia in WCG. (after we get it there of course)

Also thanks to King Kong(jun king) for organizing such an event.

end of june may be a hard time for college students, its exam time. If its pushed to early july, you'll see better response i believe, since its also school holidays if im not mistaken. biggrin.gif

Anyway, that meeting can be held end of the month or beginning of june, but i will need all the Team leaders to attend. That list will also be forwarded to organizers, so that they can get confirmed slots far earlier for smooth running of competitions. But this will require the aid of the players as well, since gamers tend to be.... irresponsible when it comes to responsible duties... lol

Anyway, i hope we can get a meeting up and come to conclusions on what to do with our future competitions. E-sports in malaysia demands that we get organized (if you ever want malaysia to recognize e-sports) and many other things, like sing the national anthem and getting the media involved in events like these. You can start with Star Metro.

To make an E-Sport you need an official organization, that holds competitions, sets rules and regulations, enforces them and also, as cyber-atheletes - like real life atheletes they have a responsibility to uphold as individuals as well. Cyber atheletes cannot be related to crime, drugs or any unhealthy events and in Malaysia the rules are probably stricter.. if there will be any for that matter.

Without proper clarification by anyone or the support of Government bodies, there will never be an ESport in Malaysia. Government bodies in Games would also mean politics involved in gaming.. which i really don't want .... really..

Something you probably wont see :

Jadilah Rakan Muda hari ini!

Recommended mice:
Deathadder
Diamondback
MX518
MS 1.1
MS 3.0

i used to use the Microsoft Intelli 1.0, i use it at home now. Currently, i use the Razor ProSolutions V1.6 which is similar to the Razer Copperhead i think, just that its white.
Important things about mouses are the fact that you need it to be comfortable, since you'll be using it more than anything else, much like your headphones. The Intelli 3.0 is larger, about the size of the Deathadder(the ones in Blitzone) <----- im starting to like the deathadder since its comfortable and also fits my hand.

You can spend 300-400 bucks on a mouse but it might not feel comfortable.

Also, razer products tend to die off quite fast, perhaps around 1000-2500 rotational clicks. (especially the scroll)
MS and Logitech Mouses are durable, but sometimes lacks the gaming edge Razer softwares tend to give gamers.

If you dont use what razer software gives, such as the DPI switch or mode switches in game, then its about the same as any optical/laser mouse.

I also do NOT recommend laser mouses as they dont last long. 6-12 months lifetime usually. Optical can last to about 8-10 years.

QUOTE([ESP].Ashley @ May 16 2008, 02:51 PM)
Godly EQs + No Skills = Equipment Model
No EQs(using only cc's EQs) + Godly Skills = CoD4 God

No EQs + No Skills = "Train more"
Godly EQs + Godly Skills = ESP... I mean ESPECIALLY GOOD PLAYERS tongue.gif

Conclusion is... don't depend on the EQs so much. They only help you a lil like just to match you and make it more comfortable, other than that, its all up to ur hands unless you wanna buy one. HEhehehe tongue.gif

Added on May 16, 2008, 2:57 pmbut if you do intend on buying a new equipment, look into the internet for that equipment's reviews. Check if it has any faultiness or if it spoils after a short duration. If your friend has it, ask him to let u use it for a few days. If you get an infection, at least you'll know your friend needs a doctor... Hahahaha
*
now now, which part of being "humble" did i not teach you ESPians? sigh.. fail

anyway, No EQs + Godly skills = put you in shame. Godly EQ + no skills = fail.

ESPians aren't gods, we just spend too much time gaming, probably as much time as Nobie trains posing for cameras and Ashley spends on forums. Regardless, we aren't gods, far from it. Susu is godzilla, but its a mutated reptile, so not counted.
Hayabusa is the japanese pronoun for a "bird of prey" or falcon, which is pretty much still a bird...
Freedom is... well... not so free.
Death is..everyone just dies in game, that includes me and my teammates.. still not a god..

yes yes, i can type lame jokes and stupid comments too but i tend to NOT bother XD

The place is called Blitz Zone and its in Damansara Jaya. There are 2 major landmarks in the area. 1 is SRI KDU COLLEGE and the other 1 is a petronas petrol station. its easier if ure parents can drop u off at petronas (WHICH IS RIGHT NEXT 2 SRI KDU COLLEGE). Call me b4 hand and ill show u the way from there. Lol 1 min walk. ill pm u my number. OR GO WITH SHAUNECY(how do u spell his name?)!
*
Its not SRI KDU, its KDU college. Sri KDU is in damansara perdana. >.<

Btw, the ESP team 4 is not confirmed, as there are more pressing matters at hand, i.e - Blitzone Tourney.
