lol i cant drive yet, so i have to rely on my parents for transport, and for some unknown reason , they seem to have some reluctance to picking me up at 1am haha.
I saw esp play on tuesday night... 15 of em.. real good. But i havent seen em play for very long, casue they left for a private game. Ive seen despair though...
We had been playing HQ Overgrown for like 20 min. I was leading with 50 something kills i think. Despair comes in, within like 3 min he had 17! Scary shit. I definately wouldnt mind seeing them getting trashed by ESP. Go ashley!

Oh, wait i dont get the part about voice chat. Does that mean that all team members (during game, when they are alive) can use voice chat to talk to each other. Cause no offense, but u cant type and shoot....
Plus the issue i have with single elimination is the fact that some of the teams are REALLY good, and have had huge amounts of experience playing with each other (i even heard one team had a ex-number one malaysia player). So teams that are relatively inexperienced will get trashed instantly by the big teams.... which ends up kinda wasting 50ringgit just to play 3 rounds of COD4....

I heard despair is making excuses and probably wont be there...

King kong, i like everything but this single elimination. As me and vertigofoo said... there are a lot of established clans with good players coming and also a lot of newer players with fresh teams and clans. Its gonna end up being pwnage for some people, and all thats gonna do is discourage them from COD4. I respect the needs of time totally, but isnt there some way to make it more fair?

Well my thoughts are as such.
The whole idea of the tournament is to promote Call of Duty 4 as a viable and fun game for tournaments, and to spread awareness for it, especially in this country which is dominated by dotA, cs and maplestory lol. Therefore you dont want pro teams killing the straight off and then dissolusioning them from the game. That will just cause the pool of COD4 players to shrink, or just become dominated with a top few clans, and this can discourage new people to come in.
The other side of the coin is that you dont want the tournament to go on for a week . You have to measure fun with practicality.
Perhaps we could have it as single elimination, but then all the teams that lost, can come back at another time, or (time permitting) can have another elimiation style ''mini-tourny'' to nuke it out for third place or wateva. This gives everyone a minimum of at least two matches, which i think is fair. Plus it gives people a second chance, to learn from their mistakes and adapt themselves a little.
Of course this only works if there is sufficient time AND if people have to come back for the 'mini tourny' part, it depends if you can bring them bak.
My two cents. (btw i hope this isnt interpreted as a complaint, cause its not. Its just my thoughts on the matter)

Example: Team ESP walks in, ''Ok you guys take computers 91-111'' or something like that. And those computers are theres for the duration of the tournament. and can we use those computers we get for practice and playing, even when its not our turn for an official match?
