seem P1 already taken this web page down...they promised great rate for the package...but the rate according that site aren't promising at all blink.gif

RM999 for the modem? how long it last?? it isn't compact enough...seem it size half of a laptop...
it isn't convenient for some of the user who travel frequently... blush.gif

register fee and activation fee??? i dunno why they going to charge those fees since they are new to the market...they thought they are streamyx is it blush.gif

im so disappointed~ i was looking forward swap my streamyx for this...i was expecting slightly higher charge than TM...but now cry.gif

Yes, WiMax can penetrate wall even there is no window. But you may not get the best/optimal speed. One solution is to place you P1 WiMax modem near to a window on the second-floor or your house, and then connect the modem to a Wifi router. You can then connect to the Internet anywhere in your house thru the Wifi router.

P1 Wimax modem should be able to connect to any standard Wifi router very straightforward.

Usually when DNS failed, you still be able to access to website by just typing the IP address. Try to ping to let say the YAHOO 209.131.36.158 and see what happens. If P1 DNS server down, by right other people should not be able to access the internet as well. Hmm ... weird ...

Personally, I feel you should call them once you encounter problem but not wait for the problem to be resolved cause they might not even know you have a problem. Imagine they take 1 day to solve it for you, then in total you lost 2 days. They maintain a wide network so I don't think they will monitor user-by-user basis.

I think there are some enhancement to their website, here is the latest coverage

http://www.p1.com.my/wimax/coverage_ref.aspx

Tmn Maluri, Chan Sow Lin, and Bangsar are the new area in WP ... alittle more down south will come to Cheras ... come come come.

Hi there...thanks for advice smile.gif

Called them this noon since my problem still existing. I was informed that have to wait the call from their technician.

Mine case kind of weird...I can rarely access Internet after restarted the modem...but soon the problem back. When I can get data from Internet, although it was laggy ,the downstream can reach 100++kb/s.however the upload is not responding at all. I even failed to attach my 106kb resume on hotmail and gmail.

I get excellent green signal and good yellow at sometimes...don't know what is happening...my wimax worked normally past few days before the problem occurred. I didn't change any setting or the position of the modem though...
