I'm also W1Max user in Jalan Genting Kelang Area.

When I'm a Trial User, the speed in this area WAS fabulous.
But since after official launch of W1Max in this area, the speed dropped significantly especially the Upload speed and the connection quite unstable.

I don't understand why people always think TM backbone is bad. Please bear in mind that TM backbone doesn't mean it's connecting via StreamyX! Fiberail/Fibercom are all under TM offering fiber leased line as well. If people are willing to pay the price, you will get good connection. Most ISP will rent from Fiberail/Fibercom to make use of the fibers to connect to the NOC and Internet Gateway. Even Maxis 3G is renting it from TM, do you really think Maxis has it's own network without going through TM backbone to the internet?

YTLE, Redtone and AMAX are only faking their launching to secure their licenses but in fact they are not offering services at the moment. So what you read on the newspaper might not be the whole truth ... those are paid by respective companies to show to the MCMC. Why YTLE roll out in Bukit Bintang? Because its offices are all there, so they are only offering to their own offices but not to other offices.

The MCMC license clearly states that it should cover for residential area to increase broadband penetration but not for business users only.

From your post, it is down for 5 minutes. What's your conclusion? Is it good or bad? How it's related to the P1 W1MAX service?
