well i just sign up with P1 yesterday. Still waiting for the activation. Should be able to know today. However when they came over to my place to do a demo, speed was around 1500++kbps and according to him its a 1.2Mb package. My area is just outside of the coverage area in sentul. Even with an Amber light they was able to get around 1500. So i am hopping this will be a good start after the Izzi debacle,

Fuyoh, The customer service for P1 is way way better than Izzi, i log a call last week and they return my call this morning telling me they have rectify the problem and will follow up again tomolo and see if the issue still persist. Very impress with their customer service.. Its heaven compared to IZZi who dont even bother to call you back.

Currently i am very satisfied with P1, I watch 3 episodes of sitcoms direct stream yesterday. It was really good. saw 2 episode of top gear (streaming) try doing that on Streamyx or any other ISP. Latency is low, played some online games on my ps3 yesterday. Worked like a charm. ahhh.... bliss i tell u. For the time being, i am gonna give it a 5 star. Dont mean to be pesimistic though, but some of you have a point about the service is still new hence its not crowded. For now i am gonna enjoy the excellent speed.

I am facing the same problem.. I keep getting dc at night and the speed seems to deteriorate over time. I called up customer service and they assure me that this problem is temporary because they are doing some upgrade with their towers. They will send a technician over to my place in the next few days.

so far the support team have been responsive. I dunno if i wnana make a big fuss out of this cause when the speed gets really slow, i just need to restart the modem and its good to go. But then again i am a paying customer and i should expect the best service from them?? So far i am still satisfied with the service.

QUOTE(Acrisius @ Dec 1 2008, 01:22 AM)
I used this service since back August. During the first 2 months. Everything is very good and impressive. I always manage to hit 1.8Mbps with a green light. But things just getting bad, when it's peak hour and the speed doesn't same as last time which can reach up to 1.5Mbps. Now max i can reach is around 1.2Mbps. Uhm, to get a good speed or green light. Only place in around the window area. If you put the modem not facing outside the window. You usually get Yellow light. and the speed will hardly to hit max speed and very unconsistent speed
*
Erms bro you sign up for the 1.2M right? so why complain when you are getting what you paid for? Well its already written on the manual that it has a directional attenna so you need to find the best spot which is near the window. I have been using p1 since August as well. I have to say that the speed did drop somewhat but only to the extent of 1.2mbps for which we sign up for. Anyway, i still get consistent 1.2 and sometime 1.6mbps. Compared to izzi, streamyx or 3g ii would say p1 have been the most conssitent.

geezzz... my connection is total shit now... its been a week since the overnight downtime and my connection have been SHIt since then. I called up the help line and they were no helpo at all. They told me that the reason for the slow connection is because i live on the 12 floor. I have been using P1 for almost 4 months now. All the while service have been very good. Now overnight it goes bad? They said they will look into the matter, but i have not heard from them since. I guess here in malaysia there is no such thing as a good ISp. its only a matter of time before they screw u up. ANyway what is the procedure to cancel the subscription before 1 year?

Anyone know what is the procedure to terminate your P1 subs? Seriously the careline is not helping. They keep telling me that since i have 1 year contract with them i have to pay a penalty. Should i first make a complain with MCMC first? Do they really want me to go thru the big hoo haa? See at the first 3 months of my subscription, everything was well good and dandy. I get pretty stable connection with constant speed. Now after 3 months, seems that p1 has become another IZZI net. My connection keep getting disconnected. and the speed is always below 300kbps. Called the careline, they told me that they will look into the matter and get back to me asap. I have waited for 4 days now, no one called. So i decided to calcel my subscription and move to another ISP. I know i sign the agreement for 1 year but they cant expect me to pay for substandard service. Is there anyway i can terminate the subscription. I know MCMC is one avenue to settle this, or maybe writting to the press is another option. Anyone have any experience on this matter?

yup/... u know i was really rooting for them... I was showing off to my friends and telling them about how great the service was. Now it has come to this... I don't bother trying to call them back anymore.. I just want to terminate the service. Its ridiculous lar all the ISP in malaysia.. They treat their consumer like a joke. Someone will come and tell me aiyah its like that lar, live with it. Why should we live with it... Its this kind of attitude and mentality that is hindering our progress. I am gonna make a big fuss out of this... I am gonna make sure that i get what i paid for. We have to adhere to their fair use policy so they should in return uphold their level of service. 30% of the advertise speed is not acceptable.
