OMG!! Everything goes pirated way now. Last time was CM products (cooling pad) but now is DFI.. Seems like get to branded has the bad side thou.

I think people with DFI boards are able to tell the difference. But people who has not own or seen a DFI board before would most probably be one of victims.

I guess the news saying the other model ("Fake") is not manufactured by DFI. People might assume it is different model from DFI. haha.

I never had thought that a motherboard can be pirated...anyway, if they can fake handphones, why not motherboard eh....one day, cpu also pirated..hahaha...

hmm.. most electronics now are made in china. Even the current DFI ones are made in china/taiwan. Not surprised if the copy is from there too. Probably their engineering design slipped out and some "enterprising" entrepreneur too the opportunity to make some money.

Lucky i found this thread, then i m just know they use the J&W mobo imitation as DFI mobo??? They just change the brand name at the heatsink.
I have bought 1 JW-IN7100-HDMI from lowyat forum, u will feel that u have been fool by seller after u saw ur mobo is not all is using solid caps compare with the J&W OFFICIAL WEBSITE, only 8 is solid caps near the socket of processor, thats why so cheap that around rm200, but this mobo is suck at OC, but this is quite stable without oc it. Just me also suspect the solid caps maybe is also fake one after i saw this thread.
My mobo is 100% same mobo as below picture, is not all solid caps. Maybe this mobo also not original from J&W.

are they look like and functioning like the original DFI mobo?
maybe the engineer from dfi was making this out in indonesia.

I own this mobo, but the mobo is name as J&W brand. But the mobo i m using now is 100% same like the pic i post above.

No, the article dint said this mobo is manufacture from where, only said that this mobo found at Indonesia, but i think this mostly is made in China.
Here is the real picture i get from mine again.

Thats is 3 different thing is different from the Fake DFI mobo and my J&W .
1. Red mark= They chop the brand name at the heatsink of North Bridge.
2. Yellow mark= My mobo got extra 1 solid caps.
3. Orange mark= My mobo only simply put a sticker name "JW IN7100-HD".

Added: Is 5 different thing, another 2 is mine mobo got HDMI port and DVI port.

Read properly, the article only said that it was sales at Indonesia but not manufactured from Indonesia, just now i got a similar mobo at Malaysia, so i will take out the mobo n check it again. Maybe it got show this kind of mobo is made by which country.

This Fake mobo is not that kind of dummy product, it got all the spec and the function, all can be use, but this product suppose is not product of DFI or manufactured by DFI, but someone/company remark it as DFI product, so they can earn more profit by using other big brand name.

Me also found Inno3D also got use the same reference mobo like my J&W, just the ram slot, SATA port and PCI slot is using other color.
Maybe this not fake, just they all using the same reference design mobo???
