Found this on the DFI webpage. It seems someone managed to pirate DFI boards.. sweat.gif Buyers beware..

I think people with DFI boards are able to tell the difference. But people who has not own or seen a DFI board before would most probably be one of victims.

Could my ABIT motherboard be a fake? Haha its written there 16x support,but my pci only 8x selected. Cant seem that change it anywhere too.

I guess the news saying the other model ("Fake") is not manufactured by DFI. People might assume it is different model from DFI. haha.

Why make DFI? not Gigabyte or Asus?

Yeah very good question indeed..Maybe because DFI has a branch in Indonesia and majority of the people are using DFI boards??
