erm.. this is just my personnal opinion. i think when 5800 AP set is available, the price will be around RM1200-1300. This is said because of some research and observations that i hav been doing 4 sometime. Plz kindly correct me if im wrong. For example, when SE G900i juz came out, its AP set was going for around RM1200. according to GSMARENA.COM, a europe-based handphone site, the price they estimated b4 it came out was around 250euros. Judging by the constant exchange rate of euros that tends to stay around 4.4 to 4.5 , i hav calculated according to the interest rate of 4.5 and the results were quite close. The estimated price for SE G900i in RM before it came out was RM1125. The price of a SE G900i AP set when it 1st came available was around RM1100-1200. Try calculating yourselfs. Now i hav done the same thing for the nokia 5800 with the exchange rate of 4.5. and by the way the price estimated by GSMARENA.COM for this nokia 5800 is 280euros. After calculation the estimated price was RM1260. So as a conclusion, the estimated price of the nokia 5800 when it comes available to Malaysia will be around RM1200-1300. Hope I have assisted.

u noe, as i hav mentioned earlier, b4 SE G900i came out, its estimated price was 250euros which is about RM1125. N when it juz came out, it was going 4 RM1100-1200. So in my opinion surely 250euros 4 the SE G900i is inclusive of tax. As 4 the nokia 5800 which is estimated at 280euros which is RM1260, im reli positive by logic that 280euros is very much inclusive of tax. Therefore, according 2 the estimated price of 280euros 4 the nokia 5800, its price tag wil very much be at a range of RM1200-1300 inclusive of tax. keep in mind its only a mid-range phone.

Added on November 17, 2008, 1:15 ambear in mind that that price its 4 the spanish market. A billion-dollar multinational company like Nokia wont make a mistake for wrongly-pricing their product. When it comes here, its price will fit in with the market here, n not with the spanish market. I think nokia wil price the 5800 according 2 the capabilities of the people here. Or else it juz wont sell n it will be a loss 4 them. Dont believe it so much n dont be discouraged.

im also waiting for this 5800's release. but guys, dont u get the feeling that this phones interface is a little dull compared to other touch screen phones? im afraid i'll get bored with the interface sooner than i can think..

i see i see. well thats good to know. i feared that it will lag like crazy. 1 question, is the sound quality better or equal 2 those of sony ericsson phones? or is it inferior 2 them? coz you would know that most sony ericsson phones hav great sound quality, i.e even the k618(my currrent hp hihi)

im using my 5800 rite now. Sound quality is just excellent whether wit the headset or loudspeaker! The loudspeaker is the best 1 yet. U can even hear the bass thru them. Juz 1 thing 2 say, if u hav any doubts now wit tis fon, let me tel u tat it wil all go away once u hav tis fon in ur hands! 2 thumbs up!

let me tel u wat happened on my purchase day. First, went to a shop, price quoted: rm 1460, stock available, red n blue. Second step, walk around summore. Other shops mostly rm1600, reason: not much stock. Third step, go back to 1st shop. Requested 1 set red. After tat said no red available. Only blue. I said don wan. Fourth step, walk around again. No results. Fifth step, go back 2 1st shop again. Ask 4 blue, they said already sold. Losing hope. Already 8.30. Sixth step, walk again. Found 1 shop, amazingly got stock 4 red n blue. Wow! All the other shops no stock at all. The price: rm1650. Deal. Coz everywhr out of stock. Wow! 1st look blew me away. Even the trader asked me 4 permission 2 take a pic of the fon. He din even noe how 2 find the dialler 4 the imei number. Now im 100% satisfied. P.s: posted wit my 5800.

aiya. Had 2 la. Reli planned 2 get it on tat day. Everywhr no stock at all. Selling like hot cakes. Pay a little extra ok la. Come another day same only. Petrol, toll, food.. Don wan second trip. Anyway it was i wise decision. I need 2 ask something here, i cant view youtube vids. Went i click watch video, it just refreshes. Tried installing latest flash player, but it said platform not supported. Can u guys view vids on youtube?
