I am not sure myself but that looks like a pre-production prototype...and it looks smaller than I thought it would be....hopefully the finished product is the same.

it is cool but somehow doesnt really impress me.. haha..

it look like another kind of i-phone alike...

yealor.. they should try sumthing newer.. sumthing more innovative.. haha..

every brand wants the piece of the cake... trying to get some market share...

it lacks the "WoW" factor

I have been waiting for so long for a touch screen phone from Nokia. Having used Nokia 7710 vs M600i vs O2 Mini, I has to conclude that Nokia has the best offering for TS device that doesnt disappoint. The cons are the size and software offering. I used to think the SE makes great TS device but UIQ3 is a big letdown.

i dont think UIQ is very letdown
nway, this is nokia 1st touch screen, let see how good it will be...oh, nway, if u think SE really let down, wait till X1 (WM device, not UIQ)..after that us as consumers can judge

This isnt Nokia first touch screen... first for S60 though...
Nokia 7710 is a touchscreen phone for your information...

I can tell from using 7710 that Nokia makes way reliable software for touchscreen. Not to mention that the ringtone and volume for receiver is way louder than WM device. Thats why I rated it way above PDAPhone or UIQ. However, I dont think Nokia will be so good at giving out software like they did lastime. 7710 comes with full version Office application.

UIQ3 isnt a big letdown?? LOL.. it is for me, since I used P910 for a short period before. Its slow, sluggish and not to mention the odd problem with the memory allocation after opening few application like contact, messaging, calculator and music player. Cant even open bigger application like Office to run alongside these. Something that even a obsolete 7710/O2 Mini/N70 can do without any hiccups.

haha, i forgot..that nokia 7710 run on s90 rite? sorry2
nway, that 7710 has higher ram compare to those p910 and m600, thats why latest UIQ from SE now come with higher capacity ram..nway, sometimes too many apps were opens, its quite slow a little bit...

how much does it cost when new launch. cannot be exceed 3k rite? if 2k+ can be a good try.... by that time n95 8gig will be dropping the price....

might below rm2k coz this tube only midrange.nokia 5800 xpress mucis (if im not mistaken)..the nokia touch screen after this tube will the high end model, thus that model will be flagship model...

btw from what i've read on engadget, it has some label on the phone that writes "XpressMedia". mmm...maybe this is the new lineup that Nokia will introduce starting from this "Tube". so maybe it's not the top-of-the-line phone, and N96 will still being as the flagship model in near time.

nokia is a lag phone for s60 ( no offence)

emm..regarding lag, i guess most of smartphone are lagging (s60, UIQ n WM)

till now i also don noe y smart phone will lag since some of them de processor , RAM n ROM quite high...

nice phone..

but no keypad?

all in touch.. quite hard to adapt lol

maybe it's bout the OS. the hardware itself is sufficient (most Nokia smartphones are).
btw, it will be great if the Tube is better in term of hardware, so it will run the OS in an ample environment (thus reducing lag)

they said, shortly after this tube launch, nokia will release a high-end touch symbian...so that model might hv better specs...

higher-end = higher price

The Nokia Xpress Music 5800 Tube was spotted in a German ad. From the pictures, we can see that HSPDA and WiFi will be present on the handphone.

First page edited... Managed to only get one picture... It was originally from a Flickr account, but it seems that person is not active in Flickr anymore... Some places are reporting XpressMedia and other are saying XpressMusic, cant confirm anything yet, as this phone hasn't even been announced yet...

It will be interesting to see Nokia's touchscreen solutions competing against the iconic iPhone. The patented iPhone interface is hard to beat.

i think it will be priced at around RM2000 to RM2200.. coz nokia says that this is a mid range Touch Symbian phone.. follow up will have another high end Touch Symbian Phone after this mid range launch..
