Guys, how do you type comfortably with a touch-screen phone?

I used a touch-screen SE910i before and typing sms in it has never been as comfortable as typing sms in my current N73..

iPhone is notorious for it's small virtual keyboard too..

Afraid this one suffers the same problem as other touch-screen phones >_<

yup, none of the touch screen is easy when comes to SMS-ing
i take 30 sec to complete a long SMS on a normal phone with keypad
but i need to double up the time if i type/touch with a touch screen phone, lol

still, nothing gonna stop me from getting a Nokia TUBE rclxm9.gif

7 October 2008 15:16 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic will not launch in the UK before Christmas, no doubt disappointing those hoping for the Finnish company's iPhone rival under their tree this Yule.

It seems Nokia's first mass-market touchscreen phone, dubbed the Tube, will miss its planned November launch, and the crucial Christmas sales period.

Although only promised to be "available worldwide beginning in the fourth quarter of 2008" in the original press info, reporters, including those from Pocket-lint, were informed at the UK "Remix" press launch that the phone would go on sale in November.

This will not be the case, as a Nokia spokesperson has confirmed to Pocket-lint today:

"The 5800 XpressMusic will be available in Q4 in some markets including Russia, Spain, India as well as parts of Asia Pacific and the Middle East. In other key markets, like the UK, which require greater operator variation, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic will be available in Q1 2009."

Some industry commentators have speculated that the delay may be related to mobile phone operator's unwillingness to offer the related unlimited "Comes With Music" service.

I think that typing on the touch screen is not bad. Looking at the design of the virtual keyboard, it should not be a problem. The issue I have is using the small keyboards like on my HTC Touch which you will need a stylus. That takes a longer time.

But I think it is just a case of getting used to it.

the other day.. i spent like 30 minutes trying out to see which input method suits me for SMS...

after all the testing, i realised that I still like the alphanumeric keypad style.. easy on one hand.. and used to the layout already.

my verdict? alphanumeric keypad is the way to go. forget handwriting, full qwerty and the mini qwerty.
