since im still playing at private server,
i would like to know the exact price for WoW and its TBC expan.
after i've done mastering gold, level, quest, world bla bla,
im gonna switch to real p2p server.
(its good to play at private for learn bout WoW )

You can use the Malaysian Online Game shop prices as an indication. Private sellers may sell it cheaper. Your cheapest retail bet is around RM189 for both the Starter Pack + Burning Crusade Expansion pack with free guides that you probably will never use.

Playing on private servers actually doesn't give you the edge because you would have access to a lot of cheats and smallish community of players. And you would actually be insulted and ridiculed AND reported (yes, there are people who don't like this intensely and doesn't need to be Malaysians) that you may be isolated and even banned from the game (Blizzard doesn't like private servers).

As for help, it depends. Spoon feeding is something that is looked down upon and can be annoying. Most Asian players have this mindset that they cannot progress through the game without other players' help 100%. It's actually pretty easy to level up solo in WoW up to level 70, a lot easier than other games where you're going to be grinding stuff. There are a lot of guides online for getting the shortest way to 70.

You also might want to change your aggressive tone. If you keep going on like that, then yes, other Malaysian players wouldn't want to have anything to do with you. In fact, other players wouldn't either. Common courtesy is required not by WoW but by the player community itself.

Note about private servers, a Mod recently removed a posting on LYN WOW forums. Think this happened last week?

I have to agree with Myremi on your tone. We don't even know you and yet you have this uncanny ability to make people dislike you. But if I have midjudged, then you have my sincerest apologies.

To answer some of your questions, I started WoW rather late last year, about late April or May. Bought the starter pack (with first free 30 days) @ RM 79.90 from a shop in Sg. Wang and then the Burning Crusade expansion @ RM 120.00 from a LYN forumer, during June (my toon was already nearly hitting lvl 60 by then). In all honestly, I felt the prices were fair, and now you have the option to get the WoW Battlechest and save money + get some extra nonsense in the box. What more could you ask for?

And on the question of Malaysian players not being helpful.. Well that's rather subjective. What is your definition of helpful in an mmorpg? For someone to hold your hand and walk you through the game? For someone to donate you their loose change when you need gold? Someone to help you gear up? Progression? What? Anyhow play the game on your own feet rather than expecting crutches. As said earlier, most players do frown upon players who expect help all the time and put next to no effort themselves. Peace.

Come to think of it, private servers would be ideal for someone to actually quit wow. You get all the items, gold, level up all your characters/professions quickly. What more could you ask, eventually you'll get bored of it with your uber items because theres no satisfaction in it not to mention everyone has the same gears.
