Sadly i'm already retired, but i do share your excitement for 3870 I'm still an ATI fan through and through Nvidia just feels awkard to me
but 3870 coming to an end... (hopefully i can get a 3870X2 for RM900 or so... )

lolz... ATi only weakness is AA... the rest already pwn nVidia... ATi is still owns the GPU Raw power champion... nVidia only pay some fee the game developers to optimize the game engines when nVidia cards are detected...
There is some sort of slight lag when opening programs, as compare to my AMD system its much more instant ? My c2d e6600 and 3.06 ghz while my a64 at 2.4 ghz. Perhaps its the memory implementation of both processors? AFAIK amd memory controller is nearer to the core while intel one is farther?

ur mobo can't do 2x meh... RAM frequency has no direct effect on the Intel system overall performance... only the multipliers, core clock and RAM timing got... tat's wat i know la... cuz last time i did x3 can run but a bit stucky stucky... at 5-5-5-15 at 2V... my vCore is around 1.3V... my Pentium Dual core E2160 manage to go up to 3.2GHz at 1.25V...
Mine can go more but limited by my crappy value ram Wanted to buy that SLI kit performance memory but decided against it As i retired oledi 3.06 good enuff for me
