Hi all, the World Cyber Games 2008 is interested to hold a band jam competition during the WCG 2008 Kick-Off.

I'm here to do a quick survey and see the response to make a decision whether to hold the band jam competition or not. I'm leaving this poll open for a week, so, if there are anyone interested to join this competition, do spread the news to vote on this poll.

BTW, we're really noobies in the band jam "industry", so if there are any expert out there, feel free to PM me. And if you have any suggestions, feel free to speak up too.

You should also have Guitar Hero/Rock Band VS Real musicians contest since it's also a cyber games tournament.

Imagine one side playing Enter Sandman with virtual instruments and on the other side, playing it for real. I think that would be quite unique.

dude, for the competition...does it has any stages...coz if just direct to the final, i think there will be a lot of band performing..and it consume a lot of time

Unfortunately we don't know anything about warcraft 3 or DOTA. Although Vendes was a WoW player at one point, can play WoW song mou? Hehe...

Yeah let's all join band jam competition for WCG. It'd be like our very own 'LYN Gathering' considering LYN = Musicians in an IT/Gamer Geek Forum.

im interested in knowing the judging criteria... it's kinda important so the participating bands dont get ripped off....

Worst thing i saw was an average all-round band (decent music, decent showmanship) losing to a show band (kill-them-throw-them-off-the-stage music, good showmanship). I think you get the idea right?

I don't have a band... but being the water boy/roadie is enough already =)
