I'm not sure if I'm in the minority, but the thumbnails look really awful. they mess up the entire look of the forum and is plain ugly. Plus we need to scroll more now. Is there any way to disable it?

you're probably in the minority. thumbnails are only limited to a few forums now, and we're still in the midst of perfecting it.

Could you post a screenshot of what you mean by "mess up the entire look of the forum?"

it just doesnt look right to my eyes. I do not like to see so much space between forum topics. A bit like reading an article with line spacing of 4 or 5 if you get what I mean.

A screenshot can tell thousand words.

I personally like it, (referring to Phone Specific Discussion Thread), it makes the whole page looks alive. rolleyes.gif

My guess is, you'll need some time to get used to it. Some times people whom aren't fond with the item or the topic can generally understand through picture. Just like you running over some topics & having a hard time digesting what the topics conveying. Clicking on it sometimes will not bring in sufficient information and will result you to google or wiki for them term or reference information.

The authorities are in the mist of perfecting the whole thumbnail information. So my guess just sit back and wait for the finalization of the whole improvement.

its kind of big le the thumbnail ... also it makes the title bar looks too spacious ... but it does make it finding the threads faster ....

some people have big screen resolutions that's why you find it too big. changing the font size will make everything look tidy. Try it on your browser

We're expanding the feature slowly to gather input like yours, so thanks smile.gif Out of the 5 thumbnail-enabled forums, which ones do you frequent?

As with other value-added features, a method of disabling the thumbnails will eventually appear.. (and it probably won't be too much work either to have a setting for creating smaller thumbs)

At least give us an option to turn it off because like Quickfire, in Football Lounge, it's awful.

create a limit on how big the thumb is. For me 64X64 is sufficient for it to be shown and still keep the whole design of the forum intact
