Damien Rice is excellent. Accidental Babies is also good although it's not really a love song but the emotion he puts into it makes the song excellent.

Not that big of a fan of 9 Crimes. Off that album, my favourite is Accidental babies, Elephants a.k.a. Blower's Daughter Part 2 and Grey Room. The Blower's Daughter off O is my all time favourite though from him. Ironically, I started listening to Damien Rice when I read an article on how Rooney was listening to Damien Rice on his spare time. Raised my curiosity and gave it a listen, got hooked on it.


Another sad song.... Michael Jackson, She's Out Of My Life.

Note: This suggestion might have something to do with the fact that i just watched hid Dangerous Tour Live In Bucharest on DVD just now and saw him sing this live. Heheh. Then again, I've always liked this song and the lyrics.

Seeing that I'm one who loves beautiful lyrics, 9 Crimes just doesn't float my boat. Accidental Babied on the other hand, I just love the emotion in it. Loved the movie Closer and the part when they played Blower's Daughter suited the scene like a well fitted glove.

A Malay song, btu I'd suggest Flop Poppy's Masih as another one. The lyrics is beautiful, and with the piano accompanying it, it's just beautiful and I'm a sucker for beautiful song.

Might not float everyone's boat as well but Dewa 19 has loads of good sad and heartbreaking song as well. There's the obvious Pupus which is very, very well known. Apart from that I'd suggest Kasidah Cinta.
