Hello,

Im on 1.1.4. Why after I restart my phone, the ringer volume will go back to default (about half bar & which is very low)? I tried to max it and also max from the side volume controller there and restart...it will go back to the default one.. and also I tried to max the microphone volume too but still back to default.....got anything I need to save/set for it to stay MAX? Thanks

ok ive read thro some articles on the problems and mainly saying that due to problem when u done the restoration
then u do jailbreak and all..anyway u did unlock/jailbreak using iLiberty or Ziphone?

I would suggest that u do patch to your phone..there's heaps of 1.1.4 patch on Installer..

after patch restart your iphone..temporarily i will search the net on the problems

hmmm thanks yeah..I trying to find the cause of the problem too on net but I cant find it ...since Im a noob...which patch and what sources I need to download and install? Can guide me a bit here?

fyi: the Ants application also same..after I set it to OFF ...then restart phone...it will come back ON again....that why I delete it

its under install > tweak 1.1.4 > AppSupport Patch & also do the region patch as well..good luck!

What method did U use ... ZiPhone or iLiberty? If iLiberty ... there's a fix for this. U can refer to one of my posting yesterday in iPhone club if not mistaken. The setting we change won't stick.

hmm I used iLiberty to unlock/jailbreak/activate/youtube fix . i havent try ur method yet..coz at office..no Wifi..later go home then try.

do I need to patch all the 3 item there? App support, Region and Utube activator (I already done the youtube certified fix earlier b4)?

Added on April 7, 2008, 2:13 pmDid u update to the new iLiberty? It's a known issue. Go to iLiberty Preferences Fix to read more or u can use this file i attach and replace it in the payload folder.

Here's the manual fix if don't want to restore and do it again with iLiberty.

Err ... if u haven't set up the phone yet i suggest u restore back to 1.1.4 and start fresh. Use iLiberty with the fix that i said. Then u can install the AppSupport patch but later need to optimize it or else later got lots of sms ... it will get slow. No need the region patch. If anything i can guide u.

But i suggest u donwload the latest iLiberty ... now it have a new version ... ver1.3 that fix the previous bugs.

well u can try both..i done it by using ziphone 2.0b(or find the latest)
if u follow the procedure properly u wont hv any problem..
but if can download 1.1.4 1st and store in your pc..coz sometimes 1.1.4 download takes time
once u do recovery then u install 1.1.4 and follow the procedure properly

hmm so which is better? Ziphone or Liberty? I heard that ziphone need to some patching? before can use iphonebrowser or soemthing like that...that why I choose iLiberty.

previously I came from 1.0.2 then revirginise then restore to 1.1.4 and use iLiberty+ (later will check what version)

so now I only need to put my phone to DFU then restore then unlock with Ilibety+ 1.3 ? need to patch what again?

never tried using iLiberty..

BTW Corvinux .. i suggest to forget about ZiPhone. Although it seems easy but its full of problem. Silap hari bulan ur phone can go kaput.

lol...yeah...i downloaded the 1.1.4 fw earlier... and the new liberty. Ok..I checked it already.... I used iLibertySetup_1.2.1.78 to unlock mine previously.
and I just downloaded the new one iLibertySetup_1.3.0.113 ...I wait u 9pm msn ..thanks
