Hi,

I have found this Indian Guy who has a workshop in Selayang who does a great job in Car repairs. He is considered the best i have seen among those i have been. Very honest, good explanation given, and perfect job. I have introduced many people already. By the way i was introduced by a member from TEAM IMPERIAL WAJA and ZeroToHundred member. He also has members from KakiMotor who sends their cars there. I have helped him to advertise his services around. I have also brought some of my friends and they were satisfied with the work.

Please support and call Mr. Raja at 013-3423849

WORKSHOP NAME : SEGARIA AUTO SERVICES
WORKSHOP ADDRESS : 16, Jalan 16, Selayang Baru, 68100 Batu Caves, Selangor
PAYMENT MODE : CASH / CREDIT CARD

Call to believe !

FROM : KUMARESH @ Sandw|cH

Lowyat.Net Member since January 2003. You can alwayz trust me =)

"If I'm not mistaken, you must be referring to Segaria Auto. I must agree with you that he does a perfect job. When
you send your car for repair, he will check it thoroughly, explain what actually went wrong and how did it happen, how much will it cost to repair or to replace together with price for genuine or even sub standard part, or in some cases, wheteher you can defer the repairing for the next few months (how many mechanics do this?) In the last 17 years, I had send my car to many workshops but never had the satisfaction that I can get from this workshop. He is a truly genuine and honest mechanic.."

Hi sandw|ch. How about service brake system? I mean bleed the brake and pour a new brake oil and in the mean time change brake pad for Myvi. I bring along brake pad ask him to do the job.

Do you think he will do the job since he is more on engine service?

Hey Bros..

Just wanted to share my experienced having my car fixed by Mr. Raja. I read about him 2 days ago over here. Today i finally went to visit him to get my coil spring change from sport --> stock, did servicing, flush radiator and re-tune my engine&Ecu.

I really have to agree with the rest of the bros here that he is SUPERB. He really explains to you everything. I felt like I am in a Automotive College and he is the lecturer. I was there at 11am and came home at 5.30pm, he didnt stop talking to me.

Thats all I guess =)

Hi, My proton Juara gave me headache recently. The engine heating up some times. The problem is that I don't have any clue when it will heat up as it just happen even if I drive for a short distance like less than 1KM. My current mechanic has no idea what is wrong. Just wonder whether Mr. Raja (Segaria) can help.

I've just called Mr. Raja moment ago and he told me that he normally open on Sunday.

But this Sunday he is not opening as he has a function to attend.

I've called him for changing my clutch kit tomorrow morning and he quote me RM150 for the workmanship + gear oil.

I supply my own clutch kit for him to install.

I finally got my Juara problem fixed. Thanks to the wonderful Mr. Raja.

All in all, I went to see him twice. First time, he managed to diagnose my engine heat up problem and got it fixed. Apparently, there was a blockage in the tube that was supposed to drain radiator water to the reserve tank. Hence the cooling system was not function properly. It was suppose to be a very simple problem that my FORMER mechanic failed to identify. I will not go back to the previous mechanic anymore. It only cost me RM 40 for the whole morning diagnosis and fixing job.

Then, I went back few days ago to get my Juara wiring restored. The wiring was all wrongly modified and cut by the former owner. Thermostat was removed and fan was connected direct (everytime I switch on my engine, the fan will run) by the former owner. All these wrong things were fixed by Mr. Raja. He take the trouble to explain everything he did.

Now, I am a happy owner of my Juara again. I have wasted quite a lot of RM when the car was sent to the FORMER mechanic.

I vote 5 stars to Segaria workshop.

I found this through lowyat net, which give it a try after so many ppl recommend, very far from my place to there, after meet the guy, i explain to him the problem, and he take a papper/note to draw and explain for me and help me do twice testing for my car and help to test drive around..
after some chat i notice he been work in SG for repair/maintenance for spaceship, then Work in Japan for GT race, and Been German for repair/maintenance ferrari and lamborghini car, before.
All i would said is he is the 1st autoservice guy or center, which satisfied me, which he know what he doing and let u to know it, with prove.
Hope u all give it a try and give command here.
and quotation $ is reasonable.

In my case, i got good and bad experience with Raja.

here story goes,
Initially in the evening around 6pm(3 days back), i have problem locating the place but did finally meet up with Mr Raja who happen free as well.
take my car for a cruise and oh boy,he really explain very detail on what is the problem with my old car.

i really thank him for trying to get the parts even so late in the evening but unfortunately not very successfull.
he did say that he will get back to me the next day on the quotation of the parts which need to be replaced.

Now the bad experience,
the next day in the afternoon around 2pm,i try calling his mobile phone which he did not pick up,
and i try an hour lator....no answer
and 3rd time also no answer about an hour lator.

"i really don't expect this type of followup service from him as i am only trying to get the quotation only"

Anyway, few minuites lator there is a call from lady which work in his office telling me she will get back to me on the car parts quote soon on that day" INDICATE that Mr Raja must have known that i am trying to reach him.

So at this moment....3rd day....there is not a single call from them regarding about the my car parts quote.

Mr Raja here although an expert in the car thingy but his customer service still need major improvement,
or maybe it just that he is not interested at all in my CRAPPY 30 year old car.

At this moment i am trying to make arrangement to get another mechanic to repair the problem as diagnose by Mr Raja.

"I REALLY DISSAPOINTED IN HIM!!"

clarified with him.. yes its true.. he was actually stuck in a police case .. due to some stolen car issue which apparently his customer sent a car for repair which was a stolen car actually.

anyway he told me he has called you and apologize over this.

thanks.

good mechanics are hard to find...

all mechanics are doing hard/hazardous work , ( imagine urself getting ur virgin hand dirty! working wit burnin hot engine etc )

and their labour charge/pay is not that much comparing
to you guys sitting enjoying air cond in the office...

so people pls be considerate and show some understanding...

being a mechanic and providing good customer service is not easy,
if mr raja din call, you call n' follow up, get d office no. ...

Hi,

Yea i agree with you.

However in this case.. i have to admit it was his mistake though.

I did speak to him.. and maybe its more to a misunderstanding.

Anyway all i can say is he does a good job.. thats why i assist him to advertise his services here. hehe.. nothing more than that.

thanks.

Yes,

I do support H2D's comments. Getting an well trained mechanic is quite hard in KL. Nowadays most of the mechanics trying to get our money flow to them ni. vmad.gif

I've worst experience on fixing my myvi gearbox with my previous mechanic. He dint know a crap but running a big shop. At last he hired a gearbox specialist for 2 days to fix my geabox. doh.gif They had my car for 2 weeks. Ends of it the car met with minor accident when the mechanic take it for a test drive.

Still having some problem left-out by previous mechanic. icon_question.gif

Since im familiar place to me. Will go n check it out soon.. icon_rolleyes.gif

Wanna tell story about my bad experience (more like nightmare).
I sent my Fiat MPV to Torino for clutch replacement. When car was returned, engine will die off when I lifted my foot from accelerator pedal. Took it back to them, the replaced part which cost me extra 600 but still problem persisted. Took back and the then said catalytic converter faulty but since spare part not available took it out and just replaced with pipe. Cost another 300 but when I asked for converter, they said already thrown away. But problem still there. Took back and they changed something else (another 200) and after a lot of screaming car ready after more than 2 weeks. Now car noisy because no catalytic converter. When I met another Fiat/Citroen expert they said catalytic converter seldom faulty! To put the converter back will cost me more than 3K! No wonder they didnot return my original converter. So beware of such incompetent mechanics.

Question: Can Raja solve my problem? Get another catalytic converter and try to fix my MPV?

Visited Mr. Raja last sat (June 26, 2010) first got lost as my gps lead me to other part of selayang dont know where as I'm not familiar with the place. I came actually from Sri Petaling. After some calls to Mr. Raja he instructed me to wait at Batu cave as he will send one of his staff to get me. He is indeed a good fella, very friendly and knowledgeable in cars. Right away he can tell you what is wrong and why it happened. I needed to change my radiator fan motor as it was faulty. After repair he will do test drive and feel your car performance and suggest some things which need to be done to make your car better.

I will be revisiting him again this month to do the Servicing. Very satisfied with his job and recommend to all, its worth the travel. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

At last my engine problem has been solved. After many encounters with various mechanics who were reluctantly to check and dunno what is happening with the engine. Mr. Raja has successfully solved it. However, he identified other few minor problems with the engine that went unnoticed by me after going through the engine scanner.

Will be back tomorrow for transmission oil change.

Highly recommended mechanic. I'm quite satisfied with his work. I definitely will send my car to his workshop in the future. Thumbs up! thumbup.gif

my steering wheel rattles, mr raja said the problem comes from the broken steering rack bush..need to replace the bush..after replacement done, it still rattles..

he said after alignment the problem will 100% solve..i drove my car for about 1 week to let the bush settle, then did the alignment..

after that, PROBLEM STILL NOT SOLVED!!!

met mr raja, he said it still not solved coz im using aftermarket extractor, so the engine got vibration.. doh.gif

ya, i agree that aftermarket extractor contribute to some vibration as compared to stock exhaust manifold, but not until the steering wheel behaves like that..

he said, i need to change back to ori exhaust manifold hmm.gif ..aiyyo, ori one cost more than rm1k la mr raja..then bla bla bla....

long story cut short, i went to another mechanics, he said steering column already not tight..i bought a new steering column, replaced it & now PROBLEM SOLVED.... notworthy.gif

Added on January 12, 2011, 11:29 pmanother problem detected today, because of Segaria Auto..

my car crankshaft oil seal is leaking..timing belt kit already changed by Mr Raja & his mechanic last 4 months.

mileage clocked just 20K km..

WTF!!!!

Mr Raja just spoilt my car la..

Added on January 13, 2011, 12:44 pmmy advice, please avoid Segaria Auto at all cost..

unless u like to hear Mr Raja talk, then u can proceed going there..

for me, he only knows to talk..practically also lacks of knowledge on certain area sweat.gif

"If I'm not mistaken, you must be referring to Segaria Auto. I must agree with you that he does a perfect job. When
you send your car for repair, he will check it thoroughly, explain what actually went wrong and how did it happen, how much will it cost to repair or to replace together with price for genuine or even sub standard part, or in some cases, wheteher you can defer the repairing for the next few months (how many mechanics do this?) In the last 17 years, I had send my car to many workshops but never had the satisfaction that I can get from this workshop. He is a truly genuine and honest mechanic.."

Bro Kumaresh,

Thanks for your recommendation.thumbup.gif
I've been there earlier today. Mr. Raja was indeed very friendly man. Put simple, all of the comments posted here about Mr. Raja attitude are indeed TRUE ! Enough said.
I saw a post that said Mr. Raja spoiled his car, and I think this Ah Bang simply lied (a.k.a BULLSH*T). No offend, k.
I haven't had a chance to get my car repair yet cause he explain to me that he got promises to fulfill to other customers who sent their car earlier. So I'm in his waiting list to get my car repaired tomorrow. He do all the checks necessary to confirm my air cond problem. Explain to me till my brain going to jam as my compressor.happy.gif
See how it goes after he fixed my car, if its good, feels like going to dump my current mechanic and start sending my car to him instead.
So guys, especially who are noob in car maintenance, see him and I'm sure this honest man (very rare now days) will help you out with your car problem. Be sensible, don't expect to get a major work to be done immediately.

I'm like to write summore, but bit lazy ler.. yawn.gif

Thanks to other who posts their comment here, it helps a lot. So, I'm doing my part here also.. wink.gif

i only expect major work to be done perfectly, not immediately..timing belt is a crucial part la bro..if exposed to hot engine oil, the belt will kong & crack faster..

when the belt snap, u will be crazy on how much the cost u need to repair all the bengkok valves..

i bet, Mr Raja will come with excuses if u ask him to refund..

do let Mr Raja baiyya repair your car..and you will know what will happen..

and good luck waiting for the spare parts from morning till evening brows.gif

Bro,

I am sorry to hear your experience there.

I agree there could be one or two. however its my recommendation. its up to you to choose weather you wanna go or not. I am not earning out of it.

If you see this whole thread. u can see out at least 90% positive feedbacks. Of cuz everyone is not perfect. So i apologize on that.

As for his worker repairing. u can request personally to him saying u want him to repair and not anyone else smile.gif

Anyway guys its an open discussion. I am not covering up anyone. So give your feedbacks. smile.gif

Thanks.

My a/c problem was fixed ! Mr. Raja put in the compressor very carefully back in, and then bring it to a near by a/c shop to get the a/c system filled. Mind u guys, he don't have a/c service equipment at his workshop, but willing to help his customers with their a/c systems. Next I ask him to service throttle body cause of my erratic idling. Results are extremely good ! I'm happy with my a/c and idling now.
Been there at 11AM till 4PM. I learned a lot from him bout my car. Didn't know that my Wira can tell lots of information when connected with diagnostic device. Feels like want to buy one for myself. drool.gif But I bet it will be expensive.
Mr. Raja workmanship was superb ! thumbup.gif He supervise his workers while they working to make sure the quality of the job done wasn't compromised. Total bill amount ?? Sorry can't tell the exact amount tongue.gif , Absolutely not overpriced than typical workshop, but it is very2X reasonable with a mechanic that I just met 2 days ago with unbelievably good workmanship. I bet an honest mechanic like Mr. Raja is rare to find here in Malaysia. I'm glad I met him.

To all Hindus', happy celebrating Ponggal festival !

Kirie,
You got attitude problem. Walau mcm mane pun ko benci dgn orang, x baik kalau hina org tu (aku tahu ko pggl Mr. Raja 'pengemis' time ko bayar upah repair ECU ko tu.) Ko dtg kedai die, lepas tue b'lagak mcm 'pro', tahu semua benda.. ape lagi, bikin la sendiri kete ko tue kalau ko tahu ape bende nak ganti.. buat ape laa susahkan diri pegi jumpe Raja ?? Bg aku la, ko yg 'mengemis' dtg mintak service dari die. Mr. Raja tu manusia jugak mcm ko, tak panas ke hati kalau org lain hina ko ?? Aku x tahu la mcm mane ko buat business spare parts kau dgn attitude mcm nie. Confirm x ke manenye.. Aku malas nak cerita panjang lg pasal ko dgn kete ko. Ubah la sikap tue, jgn jadi 'bodoh sombong'.. Btw, Raja x byr aku satu sen pun psl nie, aku kesian kat die. Dan aku x rase yg die tipu aku psl hal kau.

and i never involve my business with this matter..be professional, dont make false accusation..

this is an open discussion like what Sandwich mentioned..not a false accusation thread..

seems like u wanna be jaguh kampung here.. doh.gif

i'm just sharing my feeling & experience with Mr Raja & other Segaria Auto fella..

We both are Muslims and I think you know the consequences in our religion if I slander you. Same goes to you if you accused and slandered Raja spoiling your ride.
Let people find out my 'False Statement' about you by themselves with Raja.
No need to get offended if you are confident with yourself. As you said to Raja before, "siapa makan cili, dia rasa pedas"
*
as a Muslim, u should know that you have bought a ticket to hell by slandering me..

u said i called Raja pengemis whereby i never called him like that..

no need to give ceramah agama here if you not even know me and blindly accusing me like that..

in previous post i mentioned about my car steering was rattling & crankshaft oil seal is leaking..

do i mention ECU problems? not at all..can u read my previous post? (maybe your eyes got problem doh.gif )

do i say to Mr Raja "sape makan cili, dia rasa pedas" ?

do you dare to tell everyone here my real name & what is my car as told by Mr Raja?

i bet, u dont dare..coz u are only jaguh kampung who like to slander & make false accusation (wanna be famous & glamour i guess, as u are newbie in LYN..oops whistling.gif )

btw, i've informed Mr Raja about the crankshaft oil seal is leaking..he agree to change to new one..

but sorry, i will not change it at Segaria anymore..i will claim the parts & labour cost at my new workshop with Mr Raja..

all service i done at Segaria, for sure i need to go for 2nd time due to problem arises..

for me, TIME IS MONEY..for you najib8, TIME IS NOTHING coz during your free time, you just like to accuse people doh.gif sweat.gif

Hi Najib,

I guess its a misunderstanding. Kirie did not go to the workshop to change the ECU.

Anyway thanks bro for the good feedback. But lets not argue about this. Kirie is actually a senior member around. I guess its not wise to blame him. Its his rights to complain or give feedbacks. Maybe it was really a mistake. So lets sort it out.

Hi Kirie,

As per our conversation, you will be scheduling a date soon to come down to the workshop to claim warranty. Will be there to have a look smile.gif Don't worry. I am just helping out as much as i can.

Appreciate your honest feedbacks.

Applogize for the misunderstandings.

Thank you guys !

*****
FYI, MR. Raja has never even viewed this thread before. He might not be aware of whats happening. Too many customers. This is not the only place i help him advertise : )

Appreciate your honest feedbacks.

Applogize for the misunderstandings.

Thank you guys !
