if you are on mac, you can use iFuntastic.
It have File Manager where you can browse, copy, edit, delete, file in iPhone disk. |

U have to use a prog like iPhoneBrowser (for Windows) or any other similar progs to put downloaded stuff into your iPhone.

I installed iphonebrowser 1.5.2 and when i clicked the exe file, the program will launch the window then immediately crash. The message I got from windows is "iphonebrowser has stopped working". Any advice? I am using windows vista.
I tried running ibrickr but when i launch the exe file, it detect my iphone as not yet jailbroken. I am using 1.1.4. Really wanna use the biohazard theme. But so much hassle. Wei, can you make it in a way I can download it using the "installer" icon on iphone? |

Just installed Lego Star Wars as my theme and it's the coolest!
It's a pity there's only 27 icons, wish there were more extra ones for my 4 pages! Currently only have first 2 pages and even then one missing from my second page! Thank you!! |

Nothing much, using the Digg theme now, I had to make my own icons for Twinkle, iFlickr, smartRSS, ShopList and BossPrefs (just copy from the Settings one) and MXtube (copy from youtube) so they all look a like

I using maxis simcard,and getting my iphone this evening, and was wondering if i will get "my maxis" logo there, i dun want my maxis logo,i want AT&T logo since it will be more cool rather then my maxis logo.. p/s: if you mod it, can you please show me how to do it, any link or etc. ..thanks in advance. p/s no 2 : sorry if i post in the wrong section, this should be summerboard them, not logo carrier, sorry TS borrow your treat.. there is 3rd party apps to change the logo |

how do you customize ur page which restict a numbers of application per page or based on apps. like game, personal, setting, whatever....

yah... sumthing is wrong definately... i just restored and jailbreaked in less than 15 miniutes rather than i wait it to boot up heheheheee.... my bad! i installed the "summerboard3:2" not "summerboard".....

Haven't been to this thread for a long time cos I'm so lazy to configure themes but I just d/loaded Star Wars Mighty Muggs & Twewy Theme. I LOVE the Star Wars Mighty Mugs one (the Twewy also very nice la)! Thanks a bunch Corvinux!

Some usefull tutorials :-
Download tons of summerboard themes from pc HERE Then follow these instruction :- (Copied form HERE) How to connect to your iPhone (1.1.4) and add a Summerboard theme: 1) Via Installer.app, install BSD Subsystem and OpenSSH (found in the ‘System’ Category) 2) Go to Settings> Wi-Fi > (Network Name) and click on the blue arrow to get your IP address. 3) In Transmit (or other SFTP capable app), enter the following information to connect: ~IP Address ~Username: root ~Password: alpine (not ‘dottie’!) ~Mode: SFTP 5) Once connected, navigate to /private/var/mobile/Library/Summerboard/Themes. There are, it seems, 2 locations for Summerboard themes, but for the 1.1.4 iPhone, this is the one SMB prefs reads from – iPod Touch may be different. Upload the theme folder and change permissions on the folder (and its contents) to 755 6) The theme will now show up in the SMB prefs menu! Hurrah! P/S: Forget step 1,2 and 3 if u are using iphone browser or pcsuite.... |

Winterboard is really cool.
The latest version of Winterboard comes with Saurik's theme. This theme has 2 pictures fading in and out. If you wanna have your own pictures. Try this. 1. go to /Library/Themes/Saurik 2. make a backup of it to your HD. Make another copy and rename the folder to your liking. 3. Click on the folder. In the folder, there's 2 folders. a) Bundles b) Private Private is where the pictures are stored. 4. Open the wallpaper.html with safari, firefox etc and view the source code. 5. Copy the source code to a txt editor. 6. Look for this code. </head><body style="color: black"> <img src="Rock.png" id="rock"/> <img src="Plant.png" id="plant"/> <script> var fade_in = rock; var fade_out = plant; Do take note on the big and small letters used. Rename them according to your picture names. (your pictures has to been in 320X480 png format) Example: </head><body style="color: black"> <img src="Picturea.png" id="picturea"/> <img src="Pictureb.png" id="pictureb"/> <script> var fade_in = picturea; var fade_out = pictureb; 7. Put your png pictures to the Private folder. 8. Save the txt file as Wallpaper.html and place it to your folder. That latest winterboard just dont work on my 2.1... how come? installed thru cydia... once installed and restarted, none of the said default saurik's themes is on d list... list are just blank with tiny hair lines.... tried to dL Zunda themes and also didnt appeared on the list after respring...
Googling around tell me to copy the .plist from winterboard.apps to preference but those also aint working... as far as i understood, this version 0.9.2520-2 is the latest one as at 13.08.08 that fix these mess but i am yet to enjoy them... Any other tips? |

Hey JasLyn, try downloading a theme. For example, in cydia, look for Time of Day theme (automatically switches between five wallpapers based on the time of day! It determines the time of day based on the time set on your iPhone). Install and see if it appears in winterboard.
Cuba try test the theme and see if it works. |

Downloading : 0.0B Resuming : 0.0B Disk Using : 0.0B What happened? oh ya, during the uninstallation before, the file read 0.0B on my phone.... But on SSH, that apps do exist in it.. weird.... Hmmm..let try this. If you have any themes in your Pc HD, SSH into /Library/Themes/

The main themes actually should reside in root/Library/Themes/ For this : /private/var/stash/Themes/ i think is a copy of the themes.. btw, i have attached the themes and do SSH them to the root/Library/Themes/ |

So susah wan..anyway, i use the 1st Gen iPhone1,1_2.0.1_5B108_Restore.ipsw. Custom root partition to 600MB v Cydia 2, Installer4 and ori boot logo. Restore phone as new and resync back contacts, vids and mp3's.

Was experimenting with Winterbaord too. Totally amazing app. Only thing is, i'm trying to change the system font on the springboard and still finding the way around it. Theming battery, dock, status bar, wallpaper is so much more easier..Saurik is briliant. |

If system font u need an info.plist files in the theme folder. U can see saurik's theme for example.

Is the MarkerFelt font in the Font folders? U can only use fonts thats available in the iphone system. If you want more then you have to make or download one.

Ya..u can get it via Cydia called No Page Dots and i did replace the spinning loader with fading apple loaders.

wat if u never install bosstool before after the firmware upgrade and then u try to install wb..after that i restarted the phone and loaded wb...all i can see is a blank page with margin lines...thats it....any guidance?

Since u have 2 themes folder, it already show something is wrong. It should only have 1 theme folder and with some files in it. Looks like a symlink problem to me. My advice (abit technical), uninstall winterboard, check symlink in /Library/Themes and where it point it to. If it point to one of the 2 folders, then delete the one thats not relevant. Re-do the symlink to point it back to the right folder. Then install back winterboard. I think that should solve the problem. |

Updates:
Winterboard updates available via Cydia. Add-ons: 1) The support WebClip, or icons websites saved on springboard. To get a new icon just simply create one with the same name and put it in the usual folder Icons / 2) The possibility of changing the background of Lockscreen through an image file called LockBackground.png (supports other formats such as jpg and html for dynamic backgrounds) *Hopefully this solve the winterboard problem for some who could not get it working. Actually david, winterboard can apply summerboard theme without problem. Thats the beauty of Winterboard. U just need to put it in /private/var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes. BTW Masamune ... do u have WbApp? That app can nicely compliment Winterboard as you can preview the theme first before applying it.

I have attached a working WinterBoard version of this theme. Only Icons and Dock BG. Btw, the icons are much bigger that the default iphone icons. I just dump the old summerboard themes folder to the default winterboard directory (b4 bosstolls) /private/var/stash/themes and winterboard just simply read it... how come? the summerboard themes folder contains Wallpaper.png, Dock.png and a folder of icons named Icons.... I think winterboard ada hantu toyol... watchout everyone 'LoL'
