I dont have pics at the moment, but the mechanism in question is the Super mode wing extension connection:
1. in Takara's GC01 and EX02 OP, the wing extensions are connected to the main back part of the truck (the sections with the back wheels) by pins (metal rods inserted between holes, kinda like your door hinges)
2. in Hasbro's OP and Galaxy Force OP, the wing extensions are snapped onto the back part of the truck. This is due to the packaging for Hasbro's OP, where the wing extensions are tied to the inner side of the box, a space-saving measure i suppose Once you've untied the OP from his box, all you have to do is snap the wing extensions to the truck's back part. easy and the snap joints is pretty tight, so no worries unless you snap it in and out VERY often (unlikely and unnecessary, haha)

IMHO, no problems with hasbro's snap on extensions. When it comes to decision between Takara and Hasbro, u only need to consider:
1. ur budget
2. colour scheme that u prefer

the pin/snap doesnt make a difference at all

But definitely nicer than the original botcon with some touch ups & tones.
I'm not gonna sell my figures so hehe just repaint them & satisfy myself

and i think d fact dat some characters gets bigger is not becoz popularity. almos t like random/fixed. i mean like op and meg will always gets leader/bigger mold treatment
but othres.. depends.. like bulkhead. i think d only reason why bulkhead can become leader class is solely becoz headmaster unit..

owh. ok. last time when i was young also got mcdonald TF toys but i never know if it got anything to do with transformers. mine was a Big Mac and Sundae transforming into a robot.

I believe that Bulkhead is a very popular character in the series, plays pretty good roles in many episodes. Hasbro probably thought that it would be wise making him in scale with the other Autobots, since the other Autobots proportions are good, it would be a pity if bulkhead would be left out.
