wah congrats bro! like what you did. Looks like you're getting closer to the nightangle shots that you admired. Was that shot high key originally?
*
not really high key lah.. i just bounce the flash to the ceilings to bring down the shadows so that PP would be easier. and yeah, it will look better with empire23's awesome gear. glad u like it. Ted Adnan also gave good comments on it.

no IS mah. LOL. i ask my cousin to look at me, she was busy looking at the slide, waiting for a next round.

btw, i got guts to post the big size of it. if i post smaller size, the blur at the head won't look obvious.

see, i always have some words to defend myself. flex.gif

Pardon me, I thought that IS is to prevent blurness from handshake and not to prevent blurness from subject movement?

You should bump ya shutter speed a little moar to freeze ya subject better.

Just a humble suggestion from me.

well back then on the lcd, everything looks pretty crisp to my eye. even when i zoom it out.

btw, i still like the picture despite all the comments here.

there goes the challenge if i were to 'bump' a little more shutter speed up.

icon_rolleyes.gif

btw, i've never handled an IS lens before. i just assume it could do better.

I never trust my pictures until I view em on my 22" LCD. I'm using IS lens myself, it only allows you to lower your shutter speed a little more but not freeze the subject's movement. Freezing the subject's movement can only be done by tuning the shutter speed.
Having said that, good effort there. smile.gif

well actually the bolded part goes without saying. plain common sense i know. but yeah, sometime, we get tensed up a little when kids dont follow our orders, and leave it to photoshop for the sharpening. nonetheless, thanx for the heads up. i knew i should have shot with other than the 50mm f1.8 for this pic.

i'd leave the fast autofocus part for better systems. this is all i can opt for at the moment. muchas gracias lord!

p/s: what IS lens u have vk? i didnt know u have one?
