i beg to differ... in fact, i would say its not dark enough, it would make a really powerful image that would highlight the eye on the shadow side of the face.
*
i don't get it, if it's darker, how would you highlight the eye on the shadow side of the face ? isn't that going to make the eye even darker?

oh sorry, i refered to PP a bit, keep the eye as it is, but drop the lighting on the right side a tad darker.

p/s: petre, no no, that one the eye terus hilang edi... maintain the eye..
*
oh ok, that explain, cause i don't really fancy PP. It just make the photo look fake as it is not how the natural form of picture is.

Petre : that's why ler, if darken it, sure the eyes gone missing one smile.gif

Guys, need fast help here. What lens should i grab for potrait & landskap. Can 50mm f/1.4 do it? How about 85mm f/1.4D or f/1.8D, what this lense good at?
*
30mm will do for both. You can take 3/4 body on portrait and sort of wide enough for landscape. Portrait alone, 50mm will be a wiser choice.

hi sifu i use AV mode to take those shot. shutter speed is automated...  notworthy.gif
perhaps u could give me a point or 2 for taking macro shots.
i tired M mode but when i jack up the aperture to F32, picture come out totally black if i wunna use fast shutter speeed.
*
it's pretty fine to have 20+ sec. since your subject is not moving

however, mine cannot have 20+ sec. as i need to freeze motion

you need more lights for that small of aperture or your shutter will have to be slower. U can achieve faster shutter by having higher ISO or more lights/flash. In my case i have use a flash.

I do agree with you that u should not be using f2.8 as I found macro to have shallow DOF due to it's long focal length (90mm/100mm). As such, I'll need smaller aperture like 7.1 and above to get my subject sharp.

Noob here. blink.gif
Need some help analyzing this photo.
It seems there is a strange blueish glow on top of the lights in this photo.
Does anyone know what caused them and how to prevent them?

Model - Lumix LX3
Aperture - f/8
Shutter - 1/2
ISO - 200

I believe those are Chromatic Aberration. It's lens problem, but can be fix using adobe photoshop
