QUOTE(mytaffeta @ Oct 3 2014, 04:17 AM) yes! it will reduce ur loan capability in future.. if you have not bought own house or car yet, plan wisely.. other than that, asb loan way to go.. is this true? coz last week I enquiry asb loan with maybank staff and they said that it will not affect any housing loan etc... Thanks

QUOTE(navink @ Oct 8 2014, 09:56 AM) This is just an example. You take 100k LASB for 25 years but spilt into 5 cert (20k each). Every 3 years you buy back 1 cert with the dividen money (RM6500 x 3 years = RM19500) Instead of waiting 25 years to get the cert, you'll get 100k cert in say 10-12 years. A friend of mine doing this technique and he already bought 2 cert. Yesterday I took asb loan for 100k and I asked them whether can split the certificate to 5 cert (20k each) just like u said, and they said can split but your dividen is based on per cert not the amount of loan u applied...which mean I get dividen from each 20k cert not from 100k... anyone can verify this further as the maybank staff that I inquiry from seem not that knowledgeable about this... Thanks

Hi, I start to pay starting this month for 100k loan (Maybank)...but it via debit every early month...so after 1 year, how can I let the bank know that I want to start pay using dividend instead after that?
and another thing, how to know the 100k loan already deposit to my ASB account? because during when signing the loan document, I didn't write in my ASB member number...I only can see all the transaction via M2U...
Thanks

QUOTE(exitsortie @ Mar 29 2015, 12:50 PM) The monthly payment you're paying is the loan payment you take from Maybank. The divident you get in January every year is given by ASB (PNB), so they are separate. When people say use your divident to pay loan, what they mean is that you have the option to take out the divident money every month, and pay it to your loan account. But you will have to initiate this yourself. Of course you can also take this divident money and go jolly, while pay off monthly loan using your salary. Whether or not you can transfer ASB divident to your bank account via online, that you have to check with your bank. Same goes to if you want to double confirm that your 100k ASB cert is there. Banks dont lie, if you get your loan contract then it should be there. Note that when you borrow 100k, you dont borrow cash as in real cash. What you get is a 100k ASB cert parked under your ASB account to earn dividents. oh ok...now I understand ...thanks

QUOTE(haziqnet @ Nov 10 2016, 03:01 PM) your surrender value 100,000 - 95,887 = 4113 2nd years dividend let say 7.3% rate = 7300 so total for both RM11,413 (approx) Nett profitcapital (619x12) x 2 years = 14,856 11413 - 14856 = -3443but the calculation above not include your insurance refund...you take the insurance for 25 years right? so u still profit but not much... so my advice wait for few years more or terminate and refinance with another bank. PM me for more info hope can help you... My insurance is for 1 year only...not continue for second year. Anyway, thanks bro...

Guys, one question that I need to ask.
Currently I need some emergency money that I Want to withdraw some money from my asb account. The money is my personal investment not from the loan. Question is, will it affect much my dividend calculation at the end of the year?
