Hi guys. I just want to get ur opinion.. I'm planning to invest in asb with max 200k value.. Just that i'm not sure to go for asb loan or refinance my current home.. For my house the remaining balance to pay to the bank is about 156k. Have been paying about rm1.1k for about 10 years and i find the interest is slightly high compare to current rate. So i plan to take 360k refinancing for 20 years of which 200k from that portion goes to asb, remaining to settle the loan. . From the calculation done via loanstreet it should around 2.4k payment per month.. Pro is that i have 200k cold cash in hand but i need to serve the loan for 20 yeara @ 2.4k. Another option is via asb loan.. From calculations done from loansteet calculator i should be paying around 940+ for 20 years, but from the schedule that maybank provided its around 1.3k per month. Which is correct im not sure but i'll assume the latter ia correct. Pro is that i can stop the loan if my financial doesnt permit or br too high but i can only gain the interest.. Both methods will require me forkout extra 1.3k per month, only diff is risk and gain.. Thats why i would love to get your opionion as to which method ia better.
