Guys, if my asb is full, and my asb2 is like half full but it has no more available units, what should i do now? Shud i cancel my asb 30k (made up of 30, 70, 100 loans) and top up with cash?
I got spare cash and i not sure where to put it now. Thinking of putting it into my bros.

or your bro asb as proxy also can bro. at least sibling no problem.

How long will you get your money in asb after you surrendered the loan? still paying monthly.. surrender 30 january..

It depends actually. Some may only take about a month to terminate while others may take months even though loans were taken from the same bank.

But bank will still return the principal amount that we paid after the termination, right?

My loan got terminated, principal refunded and takaful refunded all in less than a month - and this is with the bank officer having to cancel my loan at the Johor Bahru branch while I am now at Selangor.

Dealt with Ronald K. for terminating my previous loan andd re-applied with him. Really helpful and informative if you need any helps. Really recommended.

Yup that’s correct, surrender value will be the principal amount you’ve paid up to complete loan termination.

If i cancel my asb loan together with the insurance, will they refund me the insurance together or only excess of repayment?

Ask your bank how much you would get from the insurance refund.

It’s a separate thing - if your loan balance shows that you have paid principal (e.g - when you took a 200k loan with takaful, your starting balance would probably be 207k or something - if you cancel the loan when the balance is at 190k for example, you’ll get back 10k in principal).

Then you will also get some amount from your Insurance surrender value. This one the bank would need to check with the insurance company.

I borrowed 200k and like what you said takaful 7k. yes 207k, i've paid until loan 197k (2 years i think).

cancelled and they refunded me 2.5k. I applied maybank islamic asb loan.

i just get an info asb 2 fund already full quota. No more asb 2 now currently. Hopefully PNB will introduce ASB3 or increase the cap quota. Cant wait for the asb2 dividend announcement. Hopefully the different are not too big than asb like the previous years.

yes if u apply your asb loan with insurance, u will get back the insurance surrender value. However it will take about 1-3 month before it credit into your bank acc. Also keep in mind, if u cancel your asb too early u might need to pay the bank interest. Please pay it to avoid bad ccris record.

the fastest is 2 weeks. The termination process is 100% depend to the officer who process it. If he/she process it fast then it will take less than a month. If not it can drag longer. My advise to u when u apply for termination ask the banker/officer name or ask for the name card so u can follow up and also persuade him/her to process it asap.

just read the 2nd time, the principal sv will credit into your bank acc once the asb is fully terminate. Usually 1-3 working days.
