Hi jz started using paypal to do online purchase recently.

1. May i know why is the paypal US currency is so high, USD1=RM3.7 whereas the actual exchange rate is only ard RM2.5 now adays?

2. Why there are some users manage to sell their paypal USD at a lower rate, i.e. ard RM3.5. How do they do that? How does it work?

3. How to make business/save money by playing around with the currency exchange on paypal?

In my case, i used paypal yesterday. It immediately converted into RM when i made the transaction. The rate i got was RM3.7=USD1. The rate is more expensive than doing the exchange cause just checked RM3.62. How ar?

I would also like to know how to buy the paypal credit at a lower rate to save money. As i saw many of our lawyaties selling paypal credit at a lower rate. Wondering how to save money.

Added on January 17, 2009, 12:00 pmOh u were right. Hehe din notice i asked such a stupid question. Tot the crisis would made the USD lower as i remember it did effect just like Pound and Euro were effected.

1. I did a transaction on Friday and it was something like 3.7. Is it true that the paypal exchange rate is lower than the money changer? As i realise even the rate offered by them on fri is still lower than paypal.

2. So apart from selling or internal connection, there is no way that we individual could get Paypal credit at a lower rate?

I think so. you have to *1.08. This is what i was charged.

can i assume that in such event, you rather pay a bit more expensive to make the payment directly? What is 1.08? As this was charged into my transaction, say example, 1000Yuan * 1.08.
