Just to share my interesting story with you folks out there, preventing the same thing from happening. My sis is a freelancer and he was contacted by this first time customer. They met up at a restaurant Grand Millennium KL. His battery went low and he needed to make a call. So my smart ass sister gave the iPhone and he walked off to meet his wife (without asking). The "client" eventually disappeared. 15 minutes later, he called the restaurant, asked her to walk across to J.W. Marriot because his "wife" couldnt find her way over. Sounds funny? Isn't he across the street? As my sis did, she went across and searched all of Marriot's 3 different lobby. Guess what the guy leave behind? Two brown envelope with folded newspapers in it Happens on April 3rd just tonight and its probably the worst April Fool joke struck someone. Hmmps take away the word "joke" iPhone be gone! wow this is shocking. can't really trust anyone nowadays. makes me remember some scenes from Tamil film involving the same situation, but it's the girl that went away with the guys phones (not only one phone!). dunno it can really happen in real world!

hoho...from now on i'll not letting anyone else touch my iPhone. if the person insists on calling because had drained the battery, i'll just lend some coins for doing call at phone booth / wartel. before this i'm also kinda "baik hati" to lend some people (even the unknown one) my phone. after reading this, hehehe...

so sorry to hear about the loss. this phone stealing tactic has been around for years. i had a friend who was caught in the same situation back in 2003. the 'thief' called up and mentioned a few familiar names to the victim to gain some sort of trust to meet up. the rest of the story is about the same. please be careful when dealing with strangers ..
