actually they not call management trainee, is graduate trainee
u can post to different department too, i posted to hire purchase department which im process all the loan application. For sales position, they very hunger for personal financial exec & bancasurance, which they need to do marketing

GT in HP Dept.?which branch?lol...HP centre is extremely bz to get them to pick up call blush.gif

I have been to their so called "Sales and Marketing" interview today. Questions were simple and straight forward, the whole process went through smoothly until a part where they told me, "Do you know that the Sales and Marketing Management Trainee position that you have applied is actually a purely 100% Sales oriented job, whereby, you need to spend most of the time outside looking for potential customers and sell our services to them". To make matters worst, they even told me that they will not provide any contacts and that we are out on the island alone searching for our own customers.

Hence, they proceed to the next question by asking "Is this the job that you are looking for?" Point Blank i told them NO, as far as i am concern that's not what i've understood on in terms of Sales and Marketing. In terms of the so called, Blue Form that most of the forumers are talking about? Yea they did asked me to fill it in after the interview and i did that. Wondering why i would need the Blue Form after i have told them that i can't take up the job role.  wink.gif

Im not too sure what position they really offered you but i haven see any of pbb promotion by selling credit card and stuff like others bank in shopping complex or etc. anyway, wish you good luck there.

I was interviewed the same day too. they offered sales job only, be it insurance or unit trust. I was asked to fill the green form too, didn't like the job much, sigh. But the pay is generously high
*
erm dude, selling ins and unit trust?i assume they are offering you for the position of PFE.its a quite good position if you can do sales really good.its all abt selling the bank's products and u'll be place a corner in branch to work on ur job function and yeapz...its quite free where u can go in-and-out to meet up ur potential customers.all the best.

So, are you working as a Sales / Marketing Exec there?
If yes, how much is the sales target for the above post in Public Bank?
*
Nope...im in operation line(FD and REM dept.) but its nothing less than sales coz our profit mostly generates from sales, agreed? (20% Rich customers>80% Profits while 80% Mid/Poor customers>20% Profits)
Target?...i cant clarify to you,as each banking product have their target benchmark to hit.
Erm..PBB still going stable even we are going to face recession compare to others bank...smile.gif

calvin00cool,

Actually i'm interested in the operation line more than the salesline, what is your current post called?
Coz i never see a position called Operation Executive in Public Bank.
Anyway, do you mean you have to do sales as well?
*
hello bro, actually im also a Graduate Trainee(GT)...at first,i opt for a credit post...but in the end they end up giving me this so call great post that can actually be rotate to credit if i feel dont like it but few months,i tried to apply back to credit,i was unsuccessfull and now was stuck at here.

GT confirmed after 6mths of probabation, and straight away u will get a Senior Operation Officer(SOO) title.
There's alot of grade in SOO as well. Salary will be revised after 1 yr.

*if u r intrested, just let them know u wish to be in the so called-Front Line post.Yeap, everyone also needs to promote everything...because we are more or less focus in customer servicing when it comes to banking operations.

Thanks smile.gif
