Anyway it suddenly then struck me, since we're doing this ala friendster style. Why not we make a new function for "Testimonials / Comments" to replace the old Successful Trades List. Because firstly, the trades list is only functional when we find out who the sellers have traded before by PM-ing his previous customers (which sometimes they dont even reply).

What say you guys?

The function is good, yet I'm quite disagree with the plan lor...

Bad testi? Delete. Good testi? keep. Who's perfect? Everybody... My opinion and way of thinking lar.

If a person wana take revenge etc, & he leaves a bad testi......wouldn't it be unfair?

It's up to the guy that gives the testimonials lor.
But then, if you have a really good track of deals, i don't think you should be worried about getting bad testimonials.

Still, if that guy just give bad testimonials just for the sake of revenge, i think you can just push the report button and the mod themselves will take a look into the reported testimonial. If it's proven that he just give bad testimonial because of revenge, then the mod will delete that testimonial lor.

Just my 2cents though.

Well offcourse the mods can detect if you're from the same IP.
By the same IP i mean using another account.

just like once i suggested here a "power seller" (grant by admin/mod only) based on the feedback on the trade topic to value professional seller. the feedback was 'lyn is not trade forum'.

for testi,yes it is very hard to trace the duplicated account,it is possible the ids are from same LAN.. and ppl might create new id to self-value via positive testi; at the same time, new id from other ppl to give negative testi when a deal failed. more problem will exist then.

Anyway, this function had flaw of it, I'm quite disagree with it but nevertheless, it's a great function and moreover, it's new thing to everyone who had stayed so long in lowyat.net.

Maybe Admin can make a few changes on how those testi are approved instead of differentiating bad and good testi.

Well... think of it this way. WHenever a bad/good testi is given, we will click the account and see the status. Hell, if the testi is given by a zero post just recently joined, I surely won't believe the testi. But if its someone reliable like maybe a senior member here then the testi is valid.

I just checked the feedback subforums.. kinda noticed some flaws in it like the seller arguing with his customer inside.
For example: Allngap's Feedback

ENd up dunno what argument went inside. It seems almost as if its a Trade Dispute section for every member
