The World Cyber Games 2008 Malaysia is back! This year, we're bringing more opportunities for you to win, win and win! Aside from the usual tournaments that will be taking place, we're kicking off the WCG 2008 Malaysia with a big bang!

The WCG 2008 Malaysia Kick-Off will be happening at Plaza Low Yat, on 30th & 31st May (Friday & Saturday)! Aside from the overwhelming opportunities to win cash & prizes, the top of the list would be the WCG Asian Championship Qualifiers!

YES! We're giving you a chance to represent Malaysia to the World Cyber Games 2008 Asian Championship in Singapore - with all expenses paid*! How's that? A chance for you to fight for the limelight & be a Malaysian hero , and a FREE* trip to Singapore - all-in-one package!

All you have to do is to show up at the WCG 2008 Kick-Off at Boulevard, Plaza Low Yat on the 30th May (Friday) at 2PM, and register yourself for the game that you'd like to participate. The tournament will be happening on 30th May & 31st May (Friday & Saturday).

But WAIT! Unfortunately, we are not able to confirm the official game titles as the titles have not been released from WCG Asian Championship yet. So, check us back at the World Cyber Games 2008 Malaysia Official Website soon!

IMHO, having a qualifier is much more fairer. The gap between last year's finals and this year's Asian WCG is quite lengthy so anything could happen in between.

For WCG.MY most probably no. But for ACG, we will have to wait and see if they want to have DotA.

What's the different between Marshal & Crew...??
Interested in this position...
Eventhough i'm not "tat" expert in playing game.. but i did play la of course..
I can help setup all the stuff... piece of cake for me...

Crew does the setup, make sure everything is in place (exhibition, stage etc.) running around, help carry out activities etc.

Marshals takes care of the tournament area, make sure the computers are up and running, answer questions to the participants, make sure they play according to the rules etc.

Good luck with this years event IN2. Had a great time last year and it was a dissapointment that the visa didn't work out and we had to find a replacement last minute which really caused our miserable performance. Hopefully everything goes all smooth this year! I will meet the Malaysian contingent in Cologne if it is Hybrid representing! Lets go boys!

I also really hope that the World Cyber Games Pan Asia Championship features Counterstrike. This is probably a good thing cause it helps the Malaysian Counterstrike team play against teams from China and Korea who are certainly up there for Counterstrike.

2007, Midvalley
2008, Low yat plaza.
compare with 2006, the place held is going to be smaller, lowyat ain't big enuf for WCG, the middle hall so small -.-"

This is just the pre-WCG event....the real WCG venue is TBA
