by "crippling defects" here means you have experienced hardware/software problems before that potentially spoils your console's ability to continue playing games. This is regardless of whether you have sent for repairs or have replaced your console with a working one.

EDIT: weird, I thought I disabled replies.... and no there is no choice for a radio button or a checkbox. if there is it isn't apparent

this poll disregards those who own more than one console.

I own a non-defective NWii but a 3RODR'd Xbox 360. so which one should I choose?

I think this poll is interesting. It would be nice to know the percentage of defects for the PS3 vs the Xbox360. Whether or not the official claims by Sony and Microsoft is true. However, because the poll is a bit limited and the sample size may be small it may not be accurate. (I run a market research consultancy ) Nevertheless, the findings should be interesting.

It's not for fun, but to satisfy certain curiosities fueled by all sorts of hype in the media, among other reasons which I can't mention here. It's just too bad that there isn't a checkbox for this. I tried opening another poll but there isnt any way I see to enable checkboxes. If there is maybe the moderators can help modify. Therefore for your case it would be up to you to enter either one of your consoles. Hopefully with free will in the equation things will balance out.
