howdy people, newcomer and fellow lian li owner here i come before you with a request. see, i'm trying to tidy up my harddrive cables (a neverending story) in my v1000b+ case. As the harddrive rack is the same used as the Tyr x2000 (and the ex-h34 i believe) i thought a great idea would be to buy a couple of replacement sata back panels from the Tyr and mount them at the back of the harddrive rack. easy. except, i can't find anywhere that has the back panels for sale >_< so now, my request. would anyone here be able to point me to somewhere that sells these back panels as replacements, or be able to sell me these back panels themselves? would be much appreciated so you have a bit of an idea what i'm on about, its the green boards at the back of the harddrive cage in this image: http://lian-li.com/v2/tw/product/upload/im...0/x2000f003.jpgThanks much Sebbs

QUOTE(Lacus @ Apr 5 2009, 12:51 AM) hmm, that thing ar..not sure if they do sell it or not will try and ask ATE for u ... i imagine Lian Li wouldn't "officially" sell those back panels, however a chance of spares from someone would be great

if all else fails that sounds like the way to go then. save some shipping on the case and i'll just buy the boards directly off you plus their shipping (otherwise, we're shipping a case to australia and back >_<)

another option is anodising, which is what i think the metal on lian li cases generally is (ie. anodised aluminium) i'm sure both are expensive, and you'd likely have to dismantle the case completely to get it all done properly - have fun drilling out those rivets :-D

ok guys, so i bought most of my bits for a massive upgrade today. will post pics when i've sorted out my website (it too is in need of a massive upgrade)
to give you an idea... CPU - from AMD s939 Athlon 4600X2 to Intel Core i7 920 Cooler from ASUS Silent Square to CoolerMaster V10 - my god its a massive cooler o_O RAM - from 4GB of Corsair XMS DDR400 to 6GB of Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600 Motherboard - from ASUS A8R32-MVP Deluxe to ASUS P6T Deluxe with their OC Palm thingie :-P as i'm loosing an IDE port in the change in motherboard, i thought it necessary to upgrade my remaining optical and hard drives (one drive is already a Western Digital Velociraptor 300GB). so i'm now also adding an LG DVD-Burner, an LG Blu-Ray Burner, and a Samsung Spinpoint 1TB drive (all sata of course). and i'm reusing my current graphics card, a Radeon 3870x2. All up, about AU$2000 (5 142.2097 RM according to google)
as i said above, i will be posting pictures once i've fixed up my site, because it too is in need of an overhaul (that, and i'm still waiting for the RAM to arrive)
