Silver color is nice when u have hardwares with colors that could make a strong contrast ... Beside AC stuffs is cheap and performs well without too much of hassle installation and maintenance ... I used to love Thermalright stuffs until got full HR family .. but in the end the whole case becomes really cramped ... So gives up .. Water cooling didn't works brilliant either ... hahaha .. |

AC product is good and cheap enough ... go grab it @Volt Just arrange properly all the sata cables and tuck some of the fan controller wires together for a neat look ... |

Actually there's only one sata cables there, the other two is my gc power cables ...all HDDs sata and power cables are hidden now ... so overall lesser cables branched out from the HDDs ... I wanted to hide the DVD-RW sata cable as well but it's not long enough ... arr!! @DaRkSyThE I found them out of the ocean as well... I do know that they does manufacturer cables ... u could find some at All ITHypermall .. expensive for sure... |

Around RM20 each ,,, it's sold at 3 pounds ... @akachester heheh.... years of patient and hard work does pay off .... It could be slightly better if the gc cable not that short .. so that it could be routed better ... hehe.. I have to selects all the component carefully .. from color to size and performance .. I won't make a beautiful machine that can't satisfy my daily uses .. after all PC is make to serve people to work more efficiently .. not a mere decoration ... btw, I've spent an hour yesterday to remount my mobo and gc because the miss alignment of the mobo tray.. whoosh .. the tray is really soft and it bent slightly during last migration from water cooling to air cooling ... even 1 mm of difference caused my older HIS 3870 to bent ... now it's better after all the test fittings and adjustment I'd seriously think again when comes to removable tray if the build quality isn't strong enough ... @akachester
I don't really run the crossfire setup in passive loh .. there's on 12cm fan at the rom cage that blowing air directly through the cards. temperature wise not a big issue. Top card: 40c to 52c and Bottom card: 44c to 58c @LExus65 The mobo tray really bent a bit by 1 mm .. it doesn't fit's well anymore but it won't be an big issue cos 1 mm is easy to adjust ... however I'd really think again about the removable tray when comes to Ah Lian... it's never being solid ... Last time A10 also wasn't so solid .. It could bent a bit but not as fragile as the A16 type of removable tray does .. |

hmm ... I don't know it's me or there's no hype at all when looking at these new Ah Lian casings...
A7XXX series indeed has larger spaces, better HDD cooling solution and supporting frame .. but that's not something new at all .. Besides the HDD cage used is not really a vibration absorber, I can't imagine with that many of HDDs installed .. how noisy it would be .. Meanwhile Looking at A20.. hai .. not sure what's so good about it .. Like mADmAN's comment about the removable tray ... it's really stupid design .. it doesn't help to ease the installation process since all those cards have to be removed before able to pull the motherboard out .. besides that from my experience with A10 and A16 .. A16 has the same tray like A20... it's not really easy firm and strong .. furthermore when installing it back ..have to make sure it's really aligned precisely else any card that needed to be installed on the mobo might faced miss alignment ... where's the convenient of having removable tray ?? as for the door .. unless it has very good intake property .. else with no intake fan at the upper zone... I bet it would suffer the same heat issue as A10 does ... hai ... not to mention the revised V-series ... ohh .. god .. reverting back to ATX probably facilitates heat pipe during dissipation process ... but it make installing 4 or 8 pin mobo connector harder.. not all PSU has the cable length to reach there .... Overall I'm not sure the move of using 14cm fan is a good idea... because there's limited number of 14cm out there for after market solution .. further more many enthusiast has a dozen of 12cm fan lying around .. Overall I can't see any WOW factor on any of the new released case ... What they do it's just fix the thing is not broken and leave the problem as it is .. hmm. .. indeed but that's because they used aluminum half of the thickness used on SS case .. .
so imagine a full range of water cooling stuffs are installed within the case .. It doesn't felt ...strong ... and solid enough .... but I guess as long as it doesn't break apart .. it serves its purpose all right .. |

@nles
That's the shop .. and only one I could remember that got more option for sata cables... the only downside most of the local shops sells those that are in red color... @bad melatonin Bring it to the bath room and wash it with what u use to wash ur body .... hahah actually any cleaning detergent such as dish washer and cloth powder will do as well ... btw.. Autosol will changed the surface of the aluminum destroy the original brushed texture of the aluminum finishing.... This post has been edited by Doom: Apr 15 2008, 08:23 PM |

A17 would be a nice deal then A10B .. it has better airflow however slightly smaller size ... @evilnickwong If not mistaken last time Sniper on the roof posted couple photo of it .. it's mid tower case like A05 but in ATX if not mistaken ,,,, blur memory about it .. |

@mADmAN
Totally agree with you about A17 but I won't want to go with A10 as well I'm starting to see there's no positive differentiation in Ah Lian case ... especially the mid tower section .. hmm .. I really hope they seriously go back on the drawing board and ask what is the enthusiast wants from a case .. since they are paying lots of money to get one .. |

Yap most mid tower case and up could fit in full tower cooler nicely .. Only V600 and mATX case can't @hypermax Yap .. especially when using PSU with higher wattage where the PSU casing often 1 to 1.5 mm bigger than lower end version ... It doesn't really helps at all .. don't know why it's needed ... @suicideroach My lovers of all time .... small yet good ... |
