a girl that has Lego! brows.gif

btw long time no see you around la BlueSilver, how's it going?

now about your shots. while they are great attempts, the flaw in your shots would be the background. subject is nice, background needs work.

spiderman, jeans and panties hanging around, not a nice sight. tongue.gif

If ur subject is a product, or model,
shoot with plain background, like white or black background.

and try to make ur photograph able to catch the viewer's attention in the shortest of time, like how ur frame ur shot to make viewer's attention attracted to it. That means, be sure and confident what u wanna convey.

for eg. Shot no. 7 and 8 for the old camera,
no offense but it is like those shots u found at Garage Sales section, where ppl shoot photos to show the product is scratchless or so.

I see you have a table lamp,
build a simple light studio, it makes alot of difference.

yes. tripod got cheap type. smile.gif

background can do cheap setup, just to your nearest textile shop and get while cloth. smile.gif 2 meter can already.

if don't want, use mahjong paper la. heck my some of my product shots were just using white A4 paper taped together. (yes, you can see them at goldfries.com product reviews)

and then there's the lighting issue. see, #1 and #9 for the camera shot. usually the light would highlight the product, not coming from the back of the product........ well, unless you did it with intention la. smile.gif

not necessary to have light tents. light tents cost you quite some sum.

you could DIY it for less than that.

DIY backdrop and lights
you can use any type of light, but swivel ones better.
Background can use any type of paper, size depends on what you want to shoot. If you can put it near the wall then easier, just stick the backdrop to the wall, for me I had to DIY something to hold it up
Diffuser box, any box will do, use tracing paper to cover one side of the box
Reflector I uses white cardboard.
