Note:

1) As ICCG name refers, Inter College Cyber Games, only Colleges/Universities students are allowed.
2) Please bring your Student ID for registration verification on that day itself. In case there is no Student ID available for some colleges/universities, please bring along the letter of admission/confirmation of your college/university that should contain all needed details such as name, IC number etc.
3) Players are reminded to bring your own headphone/earphone on the event itself since no audio peripherals will be provided; else risk playing without audio.
4) As usual, players can bring along their gaming peripherals should they need(Mouse, Keyboard, Mouse Pads/Mats).
4) Players please make yourself arrive on time along with your teammates if possible for easier team registration.

Event: ICCG 2008
Date : 19th July 2008
Time : 10am - 6pm
Venue: APIIT@TPM, Bukit Jalil

ICCG is originally a cyber games competition organized by APIIT students. However, due to the success of last year's ICCG 2007, we plan to make ICCG 2008 a different event that features everything related to games.

This year, our main focus in ICCG 2008 are the e-sports competition like Counter-Strike & DoTA and others and also this time around we will organize a game festival. This game festival will mainly focus on talks regarding the game industry and the game industry showcases as well.

For the talks on the game industry, speakers from the game industry will be invited to give a speech on game related subjects. The speakers are free to talk about anything interesting that can relate to the game development industry. Speakers with experience on creating games are invited as well to share their unique way of thinking, regardless if the speaker is from the game industry or an individual game developer.

The event this year will also include a chance for game studios as well as individual game developers to set up a booth during the event. Spaces and booths will be allocated for free for the game industries and the individual game developers to showcase their very own finest game products or exceptional skills. Game studios who are interested in publishing several game titles or sponsoring the event are welcomed to do so as well.

Besides the main events, there will be several side events for everyone as well. Listed below are all the side events on that day also:

- Prize Hunting & Lucky Draw (Lucky winners can stand a chance to bring home consoles like Sony PSP or Nintendo DS)

- Sony PSP & Nintendo DS Gathering (For owners of these consoles to gather together and mingle around, there will be competitions too and prizes as well)

- Board Games (Everyone can try out the board games featured in this event)

- Game Design Competition Winner Showcase (There will be a Game competition sponsored by APIIT for APIIT students only during the month of the event)

- APIIT/UCTI Multimedia Showcase (A showcase to show APIIT/UCTI student's past achievements in multimedia)

- and many more to come...

registration will be done online this year but the website is still under development so i will post it later.

its no more "inter-college" right but have to be college students in order to participate ?

for dota, wat version will be use ? still the 6.48b or the latest 6.52 ?? hope to join this year iccg (my last year in apiit) if the committee didn't disappointed me like last year.

Well its still for collage student only.
For teams, u are only known by your team names so teams can come from any collage ( call it rojak or anything ).
this is because many of us only play with our close gaming buddy. ( hate to team with someone u dont know right??).
As for dota i dont have news yet so just wait awhile as it will be posted.
Curse me all u want but that is the requirement, that u are a "still studying" collage student. (we dont receive drop outs).

Lol. ICCG last year, was quite a success just that the gaming part, the management sucks. Some of the marshalls don't even know what dota is man. And there was totally no replays.

I think it should be done abit more professionally this year. Hopefully the management team wil do a better job as compared to last year's.

because cs 1.6 is the preferred and IMO better version competitively. or maybe the req are low so they wont have to get high end pcs to run source.

As for the cs:source is because cs 1.6 is more demanded in my college compair to source(although source is better then 1.6) hopefully next year we'll use source instead but this year is 1.6(sry guys)

So sorry LuVz, but only for Uni/College students... I don't understand why this trends occur... But hope to see you there too for other side event and lucky draw.

I think you guys made a mistake by not allowing elementary school students to join. It is such a grand opportunity for your institution to promote your college. Try to talk to the person in charge as well as the college stuff, I don't think they will oppose this idea for this is such a grand chance.

One more thing, if you guys do not accept elementary school students, you guys will probably miss a lot of team. Here is the Hint:
(Refering to team game such as DOTA only)
- one team consists of 5 or more people.
- Usually a team will mix up players from different range of age.
- Imagine if elementary school student cannot join, you probably will cause a lot of team cannot join as well as one or more members in their team is/are elementary school student.

allow elementary or secondary school student to join, then it will become what ? and dun forget the purpose of ICCG... plus, below 18 to participate tournament, need alot of procedures, if you host before you know.
yea, might missing alot of team to join, but u must know one thing, the soup very hard to suit everyone taste. or maybe, back to the basic theory... take it or leave it

APIIT Lab PCs is not that bad, but is not that good either... Actually the main weak point is

I guess what they mean is the admission to the overall event lucky draw,and all is free. But there will be a fee charge for the competition=).

Admission fee is free, means it is free to just come and join side event... To play the tournament, fee is required.

After reading all posts in this thread i am still confused about the rule allowing elementary students to enter this competition. Can you please update the first page with all the details?

Student ID is required to avoid any cheating in player changing... For international students, passport needed for the passport number verification.

I got 2 member study in APT Hair Academy but the academy doesnt have student ID for student........

team players all must be COLLEGE/UNI STUDENTS , tat y call Inter College Cyber Games .

Right as for the Collages without student id u could bring a letter of confirmation that u are studying there.
The letter should inclose the student IC, the collage cop, and the collage name.
(Note pls say letter of confirmation under the student id, THKS)

Also to all the participant pls bring your own ear phone as mention in the form. We do not provide any Ear phone.
(Means who came without ear phone will be playing SOUNDLESS )
