hello there.

i was in KTAR for 2 yrs diploma.
and i was in UTAR for 2 years BA.

i graduated.
with 2nd upper class.

and i see alot of people complaining about UTAR and KTAR which is a place for dropouts and what nots.

quite disappointed.

i say just get what you need. and stick with it.
don't point here and there saying this good, this bad.

yeah UTAR in PJ is crap with less parking and stuff.
but i had some good times there.
it's all about experience and atmosphere people.

5 credits can enter. no problem. UTAR only has foundation in arts and foundation in science. IT is considered as foundation in arts but different stream meaning you'll be in the same class with those planning to study IT in degree.

In KTAR, high failing rate since the exam question are not easy.

20% of the lectural are hopeless. Some just read what they write in their note.

Sometime have part time lectural, so you have night and saturday class.

Some lectural have more than 300 student in 1 semester, so you don't have a real consultation hour.

There always plenty of gaps between class. I used to have 1 class in early morning, 1 in noon and 1 in late evening.

Don't expect first class service, this is a low cost college. All the staff there is just like government servant.

More assignment and presentation if compare to UTAR. Poor and outdated facilities, except the computer lab.

In the end, many things you have to work out yourself in KTAR. Don't so dependent like what you used to be in secondary school.

does utar in kampar hav engineering courses and actuarial science degree now?

if u cant understand ur main subjects, you should try to arrange an extra sessions with ur tutor or lecturer.
