I'm a UTAR graduate in Chemistry. Finished my whole 3 years in FES, Setapak. I heard a lot from my lecturers about UTAR, Kampar and looking forward to go there for my Masters.

I didn't like the idea of studying in UTAR at first but when I was there, the lecturer proves me wrong. Chemistry lecturers are ALL PhD holders except one new lecturer (Masters). They are all very professional, helpful and responsible. The lecturers are not only well versed in teaching but also in research field.

The best part of UTAR is, UTAR allows students to hands on all the facilities in the labs. Or I should said, all the facilities are hands on. According to my lecturers, public Universities do not allow students to use the million-ringgit machines, only the lab assistants are allowed to touch them. How sad. You won't get to learn how to test the sample with the machine.

If you're comparing the facilities in UTAR, I would say UTAR FES Chemistry course provides a very good facilities. One machine can cost up to hundred thousands or millions. Those who are in FES should know what I'm talking about. Since UTAR is a private university, it is not given any grant from the government. Every single cent is from those people who work hard and provide affordable education for you, me and others. Those people are the MCA, companies, our parents and those who pay for your fees. Those who still complains about how lousy UTAR is, should really think twice.

UTAR is improving even better with the new president. I am looking forward to see UTAR further success.

Hooray to UTAR FES. smile.gif
