I need help in clarifying something thou,

I got hold of my application form for utar yesterday from my godsis.

I was planning to apply for Pyschology in Kampar but in the application form,it lets you apply for more courses example like first choice,2nd choice and so on.But the problem is I wanted pyschology only. Can I just put the course as the first choice and leave the others blank? And is there any possibilities that utar can send me to other campus?

haizz..Bullshit utar..Just for your info..if last sem your cgpa doesn't exceed 2.0, the next sem your total credit hour cannot be more than 15..
Lots of my freind dunno that, they go for the class for 5week..Untill this week which is already WEEK 5, the office call them one by one and ask them to drop some subject..
That means they spend 5week times to attend the class that actually they can not register for the subject..so funny..
*
Did they check their email?

My girlfriend's cgpa does not exceed 2.0 too and UTAR actually sent her an email asking her to drop some subjects. smile.gif

UTAR provide full PTPTN loan. Sufficient to cover both your tuition fees PLUS your living expenses as well.  brows.gif

As for the second question. I am not very sure but I think this is possible. If you really want to know, I can check for you at the office.  smile.gif
*
UTAR does not.

It depends on PTPTN to loan you the amount.Be it full or partially.

And even for now,the amount I got for loan does not suffucient to cover my fees and living expenses.

From those I know, all of them know got full amount for the loan. RM16000 per annum which is more than enough for tuition fees.

Hmmm.. partial loan means half of it?  blink.gif

To: WillyC
Good luck in applying in full loan then.
And ya, I am a student in Sg Long Campus. Will get back to you soon on your queries. Cause it is exam season now for UTAR , will only drop by on Wednesday.
And which campus are you going to? I might be of some help.  smile.gif
*
Yes,partially means half.

Some of my friends who is so "clever" put their parent's salary at 3-4k got RM 36K.I got RM 48K.

It also depends on which course you're taking.Science course is given more loan amount,I guess.

Let me count for you if you're getting RM 16K per annum.

We have 3 sem per year.An average of 20 credit hour per long semester.So it means RM 5K x 2=RM 10K.Short sem is 8 credit hour.RM 2K.

1 year spends about RM 12K just on tuition.Accommodation.RM 300 per month.RM 300 x 12=RM 3600

RM 10K+RM 2K+RM 3.6K=RM 15.6K

I'm given RM 16K per annum. So not enough for living expenses. smile.gif

I'm not sure about the course but when you register, you will be asked for your second choice, third choice course.

So if they don't give you your first choice, they will offer you your second choice.

I dislike UTAR a lot, i won't ask my frenz go UTAR for further studies except they want to. Yea u all right, UTAR is cheaper than others university. But have u calculate all the fees include accomdation, transportation and everything? I'm UCSI student, and if wan compare the fees, UTAR are much much more expensive than my UCSI tuition fees. besides, UCSI University now are going to offer more programme to all of students. and later u all can see that UCSI University South Wing Main Campus will build the UCSI Hotel & Tower in the mountain which u all can enjoy the beautiful night view at night. besides that, UCSI now also develop UCSI University Hospital in Bandar Sprinhill (Port Dickson area) with 160acre piece of land. Few years later, you will be proud if you are UCSI University student
*
So you are saying UCSI is cheaper in terms of UTAR? Ok,noted.

I see, UCSI does not cost any fees for accommodation, transportation and everything? Cool.

And then USCI facilities is better than UTAR? Ok,noted.

Now whats your point again?

hmmm, i doesn't mean by UCSI no need any fees for accommodation all that, coz if go for UTAR becoz of tuition fees cheaper than others. but so far u gonna go to Kampar for it, where you living?
*
I'm living at Easlake. The rental at Westlake can be used to pay for my 2 months rental here.

It actually depends on where you plan to stay. More entertainment? More money spent.

Transportation most students bought a bicycle here for RM 200-RM 300 and it can be use until you graduate. smile.gif

If you lives at Westlake, there is basketball court and also futsal court.

Food wise you need to walk out or there is delivery over to your hostel.

my gf goin kampar this semester & i trying 2 help her 2 find a suitable place 2  stay.

She dun hv any transport & prefer more economical &t own room & furniture such as study, table n others. Which place should she stay?

i read about eastlake n westlake but i still dunno which is better.

Both will be fine but I guess eastlake will be better in the long run.

i got one more question, izzit westlake isunder UTAR? coz we r come from kl n i might visit her 2 or 3 times per week. if she stay there, can i overnite at she room so that i can save money on hotel.

Most of the house there are under Danish which means it's under UTAR.There is also private owners in Westlake. You need to check on their rules thou. Some does not allow boyfriends to go into the room but if you don't mention and your GF don't mentioned, who knows right?Except the busybody housemates lol.
