Haha I don't speak mandarin but I guess I will learn from them and if they want to help with their english, I will help them too. Helping each other.

even banana in ktar hv to learn mandarin if not cant communicate wit other student.. (for those reali dun understand mandarin just treat this as a learning year, at least u r good in English)
for those speak very lousy English, if u stay in ktar 2 years or 4 years.
u wont improve ur english... trust me.. at least u put effort on it..

@ dongdong86 : Well, at least you put effort into it Coz nowadays, being able to speak more languages is damn important. Its as important as academic results I tell you. When you apply for a job, they always have a column to let you fill in, how many languages you can speak and write, and how well you can speak and write.

i cant speak mandarin but i can speak cantonese well and
abit lousy in speaking english..
will it be hard to communicate later in UTAR?

there r plenty of student can speak Cantonese in ktar & utar.. no worries...

january 2009 intake for engineering course is at kampar branch? and the accomodation there around how much per month?

Grimm, now i have a hard time learning Cantonese

KL ppl is somewhat biased and discriminative against Chinese who cant say Cantonese. Some even blame me for not learning Cantonese since young?

I cant decide which language my mother teach me right?

haha....thats ppl loh....But we may see it as motivation for us to learn more language. As you said, i want to work in KL maybe, so i have to learn Cantonese.

Most Malay can speak Malay, but seems that Chinese some only speak Mandarin, some Cantonese, some English, some Hokkien....then later meet each other cant communicate at all.

all malay can speak malay , some malay can speak english

Haha TVB drama is a good place to learn cantonese. XD I learn some of the hard cantonese words there mostly.

whats the fuss if u cant speak chinese?.. ...for those that intended to learn english..i'll personally recommend u guys start on magazine,songs and even movie.look at those songs lyric n im sure u guys wil improve in english.

well, Danish House is offering accommodation dividing into Single Room & Twin Sharing.
Single Room is RM275 & RM295 for tsing hua. twin sharing is about rm225. there are also yale or manchested (these are older types or houses) and also cheaper. of course, for such a high price u pay, u get extra services like laundry, internet, 24 hours guard services, n etc. hope this helps.
