QUOTE(Everdying @ Apr 3 2008, 11:22 PM) got, some guy in sarawak is selling 5w no brand tube amps for that price. apparently they're pretty good. I was told, tube amps make a man out of you, because they amplify your mistakes.. Every light touch on the strings are amplified... so you really gotta be very accurate/sensitive with your string manipulation and touch... especially muting. True ah? I tried a bit on a cheap 250++ tube amp dono from where punya brand, cannot even find on the net. Every touch you do to the string is amplified, no mercy on the player.

hmm, that's why muting was so important when i learnt electric guitar back then eh? Cool. But tube amps sounds so much better. played one with my Zoom G2.1U and Artcore Custom during jamming, the sound just pierces the layers of sound around you and has such a superb tone. Crazy training for muting during lessons last time did pay off. =) sorry, off topic abit.

OK boys, official price for microcube RX is out. http://tgsdp.blogspot.com/2008/04/roland-micro-cube-rx.htmlNow Selling RM 990.00Each individual speaker is smaller than the 5 inch speaker of the original microcube. If i want EQ, I just plug in my zoom g1 and then into the microcube and set to jc-clean and very low gain or you can use your cheap eq pedal of choice. Conclusion ? Microcube RX is probably not worth the asking price.

For that price, I can get a Vox AD15VTXL already. Sure it's not portable, but it's gonna sound a hell lot better.

i think it doesnt necessary have to be a tube amp which amplifies your mistakes, just try AER, they arent tube amp, but they are crystal clear.. One of the more expensive ss amp, i was told. Mainly for acoustic, but that doesnt stop electric guitarist from using it though..
