I think the reason for the harsh ban on tinting is because the police uses some cctv's such as at toll booths and other places to track the location of wanted or convicted people.also it makes it harder to see into cars at roadblocks so they cant identify these notorious ppl..i guess the tinting rule is kinda justifiable..

About the hid,well factory fitted hid's are allowed but retrofitted sets are not allowed because of the glare and it may be a hazard to other road users.It can be quite irritating when youre driving at night and a car blinds you momentarily when its comming head on..i guess this is justifiable as well,but they should allow proper fitting and adjusted hids to go thru some kinda puspakom screening and be certified..i guess it too much hassle and knowing our government..
