To those who have been playing WoW and raiding for over 2 years : is it just me or is the server lagging more than it usually does after a major patch update?

Raiding has been terrible.

its the server lagging especially at raid instance

ever since the patch is out, my guild face serious trouble of lag, in both SSC and MH

was in SSC on Friday night, laency is around 600ms~800ms.
But when boss fight, i DCed few times. only when boss fight.

hmmm in SSC, my pc often hangs all of a sudden...no idea why, but i dont think its cause of my pc....most prob wow, with their new patch 2.4 =.=

Last nite, no major issue with Lurker.

But with Vashj, it was terrible. Healers just couldn't move to heal. Or get out of the strider or nagas way.

Friday night in Hyjal, on Anetheron. Was pretty bad.

why would you wanna do Lurker nowadays after officially cleared SSC/TK?
Hyjal was bad for us on thursday & friday..called off raid early coz of it on thursday but slug it off on friday..
i hate the big patch week coz it's always laggy or gives out massive spikes...u can tell it's not only u when everyone just suddenly mass DC and complain bout not being able to perform any actions..only thing can do is chat in gchat/raid chat/party chat..lol

Actually, the main objective was Vashj to get some of the people done on their attunement quest for the Ring Reward. As for Lurker, it was to try to get Mallet of Tides for the tanks. 10g per raiders and 2 badges. Blink all you like but some nights whether it's compounded by lag or raiders availability, it's better to just go to an old boss rather than a progressive one.

We went into HKM and Gruul and again same thing : 10g each with 2 BoJ from HKM and 3 from Gruul. And yeah, the DPS wanted to try their luck at DST.

The gold bit was nice. We had enough for repairs at least. >.<

its not only happened to raiding instances...
it does occurred in BG instances especially AV...

go kill Anetheron for the tanking sword..lol
bring me for Gruul pls...that guy hasnt given me my DST..

Its possible due to certain changes in the patch over the graphical stuff.

Many are having BSOD or crash from the game, which many claimed have no such incidents b4 the 2.4 patch.

Its likely the changes will lag/kill-your-fps on certain pc config, while it totally knock/crash the pc out in other diff config.

sounds like i need a new graphic card...

if you had played accutualy played wow for two years and raided for two years you will know that after every majour patches this happens for abt a month or two

Even the older raiders are saying this is one of the worst patch.

The connection is freaking unstable.

My quartz casting bar mod shows latency fluctuates like 200ms-800ms.
Every time cast spell, the latency change. Screwing up my rotations.

Patch 2.3 (iirc, the Naxx patch) was quite smooth. Minimal instance lag as far as I can remember. I would suspect it's the new combatlog and how it collects and refreshes everytime you zone in and out. Crazy to see how everything flies by each time you leave the loading screen

EDIT: And it's server lag, not connection latency. Everytime the game lags, my latency remains the same. Anyone else noticed their latency when lag strikes?

yep but when balck temple came out same thing complains were made all over chat channel and now when 2.4 it's the same...but the most fun thing to do atm is ganking at sunwell area.....srsly fun
