if 2nd hand .. not worth it
if new then it is worth it

malaysia market price for 8GB unlock is at about RM1890 ..
if u buy from US .. then it's brand new RM1500 .. cheaper.. however if u posting it back through mail .. u probably get tax .. in the end.. it's better u buy locally ..

LYN, no matter it is LOCKED or UNLOCKED, they sell at the same price.
I've checked the TradeZone already.... cheapest also at least 1700 and above.

Hmm... sounds like i should go for the deal.
thanks

in that case, why u even bother to start a thread asking if it's worth it when you can find the answer in the tradezone ?

Go for it bro, but beware since the new price is only 1400 RM (plus tax), make sure you checked everything before finalizing the deal

just get a sealed iPhone.
unseal it on COD to make sure it got no prob.
i think there's no indicator to see if it's new or not. correct me if i'm wrong.
btw by getting a sealed unit, u can't be wrong.

If not mistaken ... refurbished phones comes with different box. Not the black box comes with new phones.

what you talking about?
refurbished is refurbished ..
new is new ... how can they be the same?
refurbished = phones that are return to apple for what ever reason
can be ..change of mind, some faulty parts, exchange etc

and then apple .. repack it / fix it / or what so ever .. and give it a new "warranty"
but sadly for all of us here ... we are not covered by the warranty
so if i'm gonna take the risk , i rather take a risk with a new one rather than something that was used before and returned to apple for what ever reason ..
