actually is it solely creative's fault? it should be partially MS's fault as well rite? but i gotta say they took a stupid move as well, they should spend their time on fixing those drivers instead of banning those ppl who modified it for good deeds

Hell yeah..I actually own 2 of SB Live! and it does not work in vista... ... Well, gonna aim for Auzentech soon anyway..But they still uses the same XFI chip Creative is using and also almost similiar drivers.

I registered at creative forum long time ago, and i always explore there and noticed that the replied from forumer there not impress me...but i am wrong this time, accumulating 592 post from anger Creative users in just 36 hours since the first thread released by Creative mod....user power....

actually i not yet using this card in Vista, but i think i will try in few hours later....but i will never put high expectation on it because Creative can't do well even in XP environment....

no, Creative intentionally cripple the card features in Vista where the features are available in XP....they goes after driver modder called "Daniel_K" who unlock the crippled features in Vista...

maybe they have a newer (not much different ) model of sound card in the pipeline

with the good driver
ppl dun wan to change

now some one expose their fraud driver

and know that all they wanna do is market their newer product as the only vista coompatible

so ppl will have to buy new cards

they will then get more business

lol, that guy trashed his card....if don't want just give me la, other than DTS and surround feature, it still rock solid in 2.1 stereo listening, much better than onboard sound, so waste la...

Added on March 30, 2008, 2:02 pmactually unsurprisingly if they really got new card want to introduced since X-Fi introduced 3 years ago...but they no need to purposely cripple the card in Vista, i think the software engineer they hired only first year of IT graduate, not mature at all...or the engineer actually not an audiophile? so they don't know what is surround, DTS or Dolby Digital.....lol

To hell with Creative Vista Driver.
I've been using YouP-PAX driver since the first day i'm on Vista.

Well, some 3rd party drivers does not work well...Hell, it even crashed my windows ...Btw can pm me the link for those drivers

Well, Auzentech bought the XFI chip mah...Creative still does get $$...Better than buying from Creative themself...

but still the drivers are made by creative and rebadged by auzentach..
