You should call your broker to check as there are various options for you to purchase the GIPLC shares.

one of the option :
is to open a sub-account with your local broker (throught their arrangements with Singapore brokers) & have your Offer Shares credited in

another option:
you can choose to have your offer shares credited into a sub-account maintained by CIMB Nominees.
Means you have to open a securities trading account with CIMB

its really a good offer anyway but don't forget to ask about the hidden charges involved

Me too very disappointed with their selfish management style. It was already shown in their AGM.
Give you a simple example:
2 years back attended their AGM in a hotel in Jalan Sultan Ismail.
Many minority holders especially old people attended the meeting. One of the old people requested Lim Cock-tail to waive the $8 parking charges, but his reply was : "economy is bad, have to be prudent in spending, shareholders can use their money received from dividends to pay the parking charges."( )
Already 1 year away from financial crisis, but their share price is still in crisis.....

Anyway, I think his late father was better in handling the company.
Recently, analysts from many research houses beh-tahan with the way the company's money is handled and downgraded its target price.
When this Lim noticed all that, he quickly mentioned about a "maybe special dividend".
But this special dividend thingy was not published at all in the news. It was only shown as a small headline in Maybank trading portal news.
I feel that even there is a special dividend, could be just 10 cents. Hope I'm wrong.

I read today about their RPT(related party transaction) transaction which involves a call option cancellation, to which I assume should be a good news for GenM, as it doesn't need to fork out millions of USD to acquire such a company.
Maybe some investors misread it as a weakness, but I think its good that they drop the purchase.
