2) RM2600 region

70-200 f4L IS is cheaper than the f2.8L by few hundred bucks oni. Better take the f2.8L right?
*
I don't know, mate. Apart from f number, will the f/2.8L beat f/4 L IS in terms of picture quality?

how practical to use the 70-200mm f2.8 L
at 200mm.. is it easy to take a clear picture without the IS?
coz, i tried that day, at 200mm.. keep on getting blur picture.. coz hand shake..
i know we can use tripod to counter this problem.. but still.. we wont bring tripod all over the place.. right? so, without tripod.. is it practical to use the lense without IS?
*
Well, the good thing about this is that the mechanism moves internally only. The length is still the same.

Whereas zoom lens like Sigma 18-200mm, the barrel will extend whenever you zoom further and hence, you might not get use to the max length of the lens.

To 17-40mm users,

Is the hood really that effective? It looks rather flat and wide open to me.. hmm.gif

Why not? It looks damn gaya dude. Adds some macho-ness to your lens. I love it a lot but sometimes it's quite annoying cause hard to put inside the bag.
*
LOL. The size does +1 to macho-ness... laugh.gif

But, does it really reduce the flare?

Anybody uses hood during indoors? laugh.gif

QUOTE(nairud @ Jul 24 2008, 09:21 AM)
Default hood for 17-40 doesnt work with APC-S laugh.gif

For effective hood usage, get the one that is designed for 1755 and slap it onto the 17-40

hmm.gif I'm thinking of this option, EW-83J, too.
